Seriously, Zaire ... why would you think it would be okay for anyone to break laws just because they think they're superior to someone else? Really give that some thought. I can sit here behind my monitor and say all sorts of things. Any of us can. We can say we're professional drivers (I can drive a standard shift and have never failed a driving test). We can say we're rocket scientists. No matter what we might claim, true or not, that shouldn't entitle us to run roughshod over others just because we happen to wish to do so. What you've posted here sure doesn't do your image as a responsible adult any good, hon. That's said with caring, not with intent to hurt.

I have so many reasons, and examples to answer that mmHmm. but I am sure or positive, rather extremely positive that nothing I can say or explain including explain in the simplest form so that even Scottish Lassie would understand, would change your (and Molly) minds. we would have to meet and you would have to get to know me and the people I speak with in person to understand. At that point I am pretty sure you would see and possibly side with us (well if you're open minded about the special drivers endorsement. which at this point it appears that you and Molly are not open and have made up your minds).

I don't care about special drivers endorsements, Zaire. It's not important to me. It doesn't mean a damned thing. When I'm driving on the highway with a large number of other drivers, I expect those drivers to obey the laws of the road, no matter how superior they might think they are. At that point in time, they're just behind the wheel of another car on the road. They ain't special snowflakes and they don't deserve to be treated like special snowflakes. That would go equally for an Indy car driver. It damned well goes for you.

You just don't get it, Zaire.
There should be no "special endorsement" for any common citizen driving public streets/highways. They (and you) are to follow the rules of the road.
You've admitted to driving above the speed limit, and driving on the wrong side of the road to pass drivers doing the speed limit.
You are a prime example of drivers who feel they're "above the law" and can do as they please behind the wheel. Drivers like that cause more wrecks and accidents than those who drive responsibly.
Until you've lost a loved-one or dear friend to someone with the same attitude about being a "superior" driver, you just wont get it.
Sorry for being so harsh, but it pisses me off that you feel you should be above the law. Even professional race-car drivers (Indy/NASCAR) have to obey the rules of the road and speed limits/driving safely in weather related conditions when on public roads. They're no more special than any other driver on the public street.
And then you get mad and come here angry and cursing whenever you get a ticket for driving infractions. (And there's been several over the last year or two that you've posted about).
One of these days, they're going to take your license away, if you continue being careless on the road and putting others in danger.

Lets see if this helps?
Drunk Drivers: drivers that are too impaired to make better driving decisions due to being under the influence of a drug or alchol
Distracted Drivers: drivers that are not concentrating on driving (thinking about something else, texting, talking, shaving, makup, radio, etc.)
Below Average Drivers: drivers that are basically teenagers or below age 25 (inexperienced), and senior citizens (I feel after a certain age for seniors need to take the road test annually and need to take a written test every 3 years)
Average Drivers: most people
Above Average Drivers: Ahhh...those that can drive manual trans, driving is there job (Taxi, Bus, Truck long haul, etc.), motorcycle,
Professional Drivers <----Me! those of us that actually like to drive, that concentrate on driving, aware of our environment and surroundings, doesn't panic in an emergency situation, those of us that feel a car is not just to get from point a to b.
Exceptional Drivers: Stunt drivers, on/off road racing drivers, monster truck drivers
Professional and Exceptional drivers should get the enforcement on our license.
Disclaimer: this is NOT a perfect definition of the levels or categories! I understand and aware that will be exceptions. so before someone goes ape shit with statement of I know plenty of taxi drivers that has plenty of accidents, or truck drivers are the worst drivers! or motorcycle riders are far to dangerous! Well I know (well knew) guys that drive better when drunk!

Zaire, what makes you feel skill-wise makes a professional driver? I drive stick and I am confident I am a better than average driver. I would not call myself professional grade as there is much I'd love to learn . Had I worked on becoming a professional driver when I was younger I think I could have been a pro but I've seen enough to know there's lots I could be much better at. Watch the documentary Senna if you haven't already. That guy had rain sense. I'm better than average in rain if I know my surroundings but I don't think I'd ever pull off what he did. Most professional drivers that I have read about do follow speed limits when they are off the track and according to various interviews I've read drive smoother and more in control than the average driver. I do agree with others that something like you suggest is too dangerous for the general public. When I'm really focused and I can keep track of quite a few lanes of traffic both behind, around, and in front of me. Even with that, you have to constantly be preparing for escape routes when someone does a bone-headed move. The faster you are going, the less reaction time you have, and the more significant the potential crash if you are wrong. (FWIW, prior to your driving life, driving stick was the only option. There were still had good, bad and indifferent drivers. )

If you can't drive a stick, then I don't think you should be allowed to get your license, personally. JMO.
But I agree that NO ONE who is not law enforcement deserves special treatment on the road. People who drive like you admit you do Zaire are a danger. You can control you, but you can't control others. So what happens when you are driving along obeying the rules you *think* you should be held to, and some other idiot in front of you does something suddenly that you can't react to in time?? Had you been driving the speed limit (within 5 mph or so), there'd probably be no problem. But when you're driving 85 in a 65 and that other car swerves across the median, that's a different story. If you were driving near me, I'd be calling the state patrol and reporting your license plate as being an aggressive driver.
oh, and this is a load of horseshit.
there is NOTHING about that that makes you a professional driver. you just want to try to justify breaking the law.

Zaire - one more time - YOU ARE NOTA PROFESSIONAL DRIVER.
You may be a seasoned driver/driver with experience but not a PROFESSIONAL driver.
A professional driver races for a living (NASCAR/Indy, etc). Or drives big-rigs/semis, and such. Please stop using the term "professional".
You are a citizen with a driver's license - just like me or millions of ther drivers on this continent.
You are no more "special" than anyone else on the road. And yes, I can drive a standard (stick) transmission - so don't think for one minute that makes you more professional than me.
From previous posts, I'm just glad you're not on any of the roads near me. You take unnecessary and reckless chances on the road. And then wonder why you get so many fines.

Don't do that. It will give you a flat forehead. Didn't you see where I gave him my wedding dress to wear in case an officer pulls him over? He can say he is late to his wedding.

Zaire, while I do speed occasionally within reason, we do not live in an area that could support something like an Autobahn. Because I have extreme control when I drive, I often drive slow or wait when I sense a bone-headed manuever is in the offing. Just yesterday coming home a clueless old guy with a passenger had his turn signal on to turn left even though he was in the rightmost lane. As expected the idiot did a sweeping left hand turn across three lanes of traffic just past the light he should have been making the turn from. The idiot could have moved over barely in time had he tried, but he was stubborn and stupid. Lucky for him it was daylight and no incoming traffic took him out. He was in a Yaris sized vehicle. A friend of mine got herself in a car wreck doing the same manuever at night so a serious wreck was possible had someone swept off of Hwy 22 at that time.
I generally drive the speed limit especially on non highways as the number of idiots and the variability of drivers and their attention varies a lot. Many drivers are very clueless about the ability of their car and the cars around them. It is for their safety and yours the traffic laws are what they are in this country. The number of times people have mistaken my red BMW for a econobox is pretty large. Imagine their possible panic and potential fender benders if I schussed my car through traffic as it and I were capable. Some would freak and people could get hurt. Not worth it, so I concentrate on driving well and with precision when I want to exercise my driving abilities on the road.
You may want to try Pro Solo with your car. I've thought about it at times and it can be a great way to really learn the limits of your ability to navigate through obstacles at slow speeds. Speed is fun, but for me I'd prefer track time over risking me and others on NJ highways.

Drunk Drivers Distracted Drivers Below Average Drivers Average Drivers Above Average Drivers Professional Drivers <----Me! Exceptional Drivers I think those of us that can drive manual shift are at above average driver level. I passed my written and drivers tests to get my motorcycle license (or endorsement symbol on my drivers license) and I've never ridden a motorcycle. (rented a scooter) You're a professional driver? You get paid to drive?

should be added to my drivers license! I consider myself to be a professional driver, with performance enhanced parts added to my Honda. I or rather, there should be a drivers test that I will pass to add a symbol on my drivers license to allow me to drive well above and beyond the local speed limits. have you seen a car that has a top speed of local MPH speed limits? I haven't By professional driver you mean you drive your modified Honda for money ? If so, enter it into some race track events with other professional drivers and see how well you do collecting those top finisher purses with other like minded drivers. Let me know how you do. When you leave the track, follow the rules on public roads that apply to every one else, while using them for transportation.
