FWIW, even if you have insurance, you sign a waiver before you get in that plane. even if "he" had insurance, it wouldn't matter in skydiving-related injuries.

And even if life insurance covered sky diving accidents, I'm sure there's a wait period (like there is with suicide).

FWIW, the waiver you sign is a hold harmless for those involved in the jump itself. Medical insurance is a separate issue between you and your insurer.

Medical insurance is a separate issue between you and your insurer. check your own individual policy. mine's got a line in there that says if I sign a waiver to voluntarily skydive, I'm on my own with the consequences if something goes wrong. this is medical now, haven't checked the life insurance policy for that clause. not like it's going to be a worry of mine if there is a worry to be had.
