So. I made a chocolate torte. i ate too much. My stomach complained. I figure, I can either eat something to calm my stomach, or since it's already upset, have some pizza... Uhhhmmm pizza! ..... Ughhhh pizza Do you ever do this? It could be money related too... Like I know many moons ago when I actually carried a cc balance, indulging too much was actually easier... Hey, can't pay it off anyway... But now, no way I'd spend what might make me unable to pay it off in full at month's end... anyway, im off to drink lots of water...

Alka seltser(sp)!!! Money wise, smart to eat the pizza after the tort because then you only use one dose of tummy medicine so that saves money!

Oh, it's not going to kill me. I just know better But it is interesting that the dilemma exists. Why don't we automatically say, hey, it's only a little ding... It won't take long to recover... Why do we even think, well, it's gone this far... Might as well...

Human nature. You're already all in on the food that made the tummy trouble so why not add the other before treating it, lol! It happens

Why do we even think, well, it's gone this far... Might as well... My version of that is to eat all the homemade cookies in one sitting.... because then I won't be tempted by them later. I'm also taking one for the team by using myself as a human shield to devour all those nasty calories so the rest of the family doesn't get hardened arteries.
You know - like throwing oneself on top of a grenade.

That's what you get for not sharing with us. Had you not been so selfish we'd either be suffering with you or we'd have made your suffering less so.

Sometimes I decide not to eat, but I NEVER go on a diet. Just the word makes me feel starved half to death! I'm leaving all the diet food and low calorie stuff for others. It's okay, I'll suffer the enjoyment of my food.

I'm actually mostly ok with restricting certain types of foods. Especially since they make me feel like ass...
I'm not good with lots of dairy. For some reason I can have a slice of cheddar or provolone now and again without issue, but mozzarella gets me every time. Still a few times a year I indulge in a udi gfree, uncured pepperoni. All the kids had in the house last night was udi gfree 3 cheese though... Man, that was a mistake... My ears are still ringing like gangbusters and I feel hungover.
Oh well. I've learned my lesson.
Probably.

The worst thing I can do for myself is say that I'm going to go on a diet . . . I spend the days beforehand loading on brie, alcohol, and sugar. I'd be healthier if I never thought the word "diet"! I don't know how many "10 lbs" I have gained when planning to go on a diet come Monday!!

Wait...chocolate torte plus pizza is a bad thing? I thought that was two major food groups right there, chocolate and pizza.

He looks exactly like my father. When I see him I am mesmerized! I don't watch a lot of it anymore but do you remember how wife called and he ran knocking down a few people in 5 star hotel hoping that it was a 'news' about rich in-laws...but it was about his dog took a on the rug?
