I wore my mom's wedding dress. Classic 50s with the pointy boobs and all. Beautiful fabric though.
I was a cheap YMer even back then.
Your thread is timely. Since we are in the process of decluttering the house, I should figure out what to do with that dress since we don't have kids. I know my niece has my mom's wedding and engagement rings and her china. Not sure that I can add the dress to that pile of stuff.

Mine was not a traditional wedding dress, a little olde worlde lace/ruffle antique white thing. It is now a key piece of my DD's steam punk outfits. It bustles very well.

Once i loose the weight, I am planning to wear it as often as I can. I doubt my husband will let me leave the house while wearing it, but we'll see.
yes, it is a regular white wedding dress. I don't care. I love it THAT much.

Thought of this thread tonight. There's an organization that turns these dresses into christening/burial gowns for babies that dont survive the NICU or born sleeping. Not sure I could part with my dress but I am considering buying some materials to donate.
