My guess would be that the comment was about skinny b*****es using their bodies to entice customers to the coffee stand. And it appears that if it were that, it would simply a statement of fact. So not sure why Meghan would have to defend herself. If your business model calls for tits and ass for success, live with the fact that some will be displeased.

Why don't news people stick to the news. A Sunday episode of MSNBC's political commentary show ... (from the link in the OP, emphasis added) If you want news, you shouldn't go to a political commentary show. ... joked Dean Obeidallah ... (from the link in the OP) And especially ones who have panelists who are not news people. Dean Obeidallah (born 1969; Arabic: دين عبيدالله) is an American comedian ... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dean_Obeidallah A big part of the problem is it was on a show hosted by a bi African-white woman, Mellissa Perry who is supposedly very happy with her racial make up. And yet makes fun of a white Republican (rino) billionaire who probably had no say in the adoption (or cared whether he had a say, either) I am sure if Rush had did a nasty piece on this it would have multiple threads keeping mhhmm very busy.
Perry is the one who also thinks your kids don't actually belong to you. She's a kook.

In short: they do not perceive the news as being relevant to their lives. (And for the most part, they're right)

Maybe it is just me, as I do the same personally, to get all the info. Do people not question anything. I question a lot of things but that may be my personality.

In short: they do not perceive the news as being relevant to their lives. (And for the most part, they're right) substitute "political parties" for news, and you have a rational explanation for voter apathy.

If I see one more picture of Miley swinging on that wrecking ball I'm going to do an Elvis and shoot the TV.
Read books. You are welcome.
I just bought a new widescreen monitor. My old one developed an airhole in the screen...

I just bought a new widescreen monitor. My old one developed an airhole in the screen... But books are cheaper to shoot.

There has never been anything that was strictly news - newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, you name it. The main difference is that previously you could easily distinguish between what was and wasn't news. Now with blogs popping up everywhere and reporters not doing their homework, the lines have blurred. It's like the game "Gossip". Someone writes a blog that issues an opinion like it was fact. Someone exlse picks up on it and adds their two cents and passes it on. At some point it takes on the mantle of "fact" rather than opinion. And gets reported by someone on the air or in the newspapers who doesn't try to get the true facts and reports it to the world at large as factual. That means that you, as an individual, have to determine what news outlets you can trust and what ones you can't. Fox and MSNBC are suspect. One presents the conservative viewpoint as fact and the other the liberal. Unfortunately, CNN has had to lower its standards in order to survive. I have found that NBCNews.com and CNN.com are fairly reliable for strict news. The only program that I watch fairly often on MSNBC is Morning Joe, hosted by one conservative and one liberal, so you get both viewpoints at the same time. I don't watch any Fox News because I have not found any program that isn't slanted one way. I also get a synopsis of the NY Times news that is also just news. They have a section labeled editorials but I seldom read it. In other words, you need to do some checking for yourself to find out what is real news and what is opinion.

Does her apology make her seem like any less of a dick to you? Not really for me .. really? this is the most contrite apology i have ever seen, and i have already stated plainly that i don't like her as a commentator. she is almost in tears 2/3 of the way through it.

Oh I think the apology is probably sincere. It just didn't change my opinion any. Probably I just don't like her much either.
