Is it true the military will accept expired coupons? If so, have you ever mailed coupons to them? What was your experience? If you have it, would you either post the mailing address here, or PM it to me, please? It drives me bonkers when I toss unused coupons I didn't get to at the end of the month. Thank you in advance!

Coupons are good for military personal....OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY....for 6 mos. past their expiration dates.
My son is in Japan. Every time I send a box to them, I include the coupons that come in our papers. Even if he/his family don't personally use them, they take the rest to the family center so others can pick through them. Like my grandkids are in their teens so they have no use for diaper coupons but many families there do. They have 2 little dogs so will use the dog stuff coupons but pass on the ones for cats, etc.
If you aren't sending to an individual, just to the base, then they want the coupons cut out and sorted into catagories. I don't do that with the ones I send...too much work for an old woman with arthritis in my hands. DIL & DGD can do it much faster.
Check some military web sites for addresses to places. I know some churches do this and some other civic groups, but I don't know the names of any. Maybe Mollie would have an idea of a web site to check?

That's great. I knew there were rules about cutting & sorting & it had been a long time since I'd seen them since I just send the whole coupon flyer to my son.

I give them to a woman that I work with. Her sister lives overseas on base and she ships them out to her!

We just moved back from Japan a few months ago. Not all bases care if they are cut and sorted. None of the Marine bases in Okinawa cared, they had volunteers do a lot of the sorting for them. You can send them to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society offices overseas or to Marine and Family Programs (sorry, I don't know all my other branches info). The addresses for NMCRS can be found on their website at nmcrs.org. I used to volunteer there and we got tons of coupons, some cut, some not. The volunteers liked sorting because they could take the ones they wanted.
