Rules:

Going to ride my last remaining China based stock this week and hope it goes up.  TPI (long) Tianyin Pharmaceuticals.
Suppose there are those who still may write off next two days, but be that as it may, I will hold these come hell or high water, if I have a few more years. May be stupid or stubborn, but believe this one will pay off big in 3-5 years. Yes, a long term bet.

Long CTRN (Citi Trends - Specialty Retail)
From the earnings beat MRQ with recent upward estimate revisions screen. I've never really heard of this chain but that's probably a good thing because by the time a company begins opening stores in this area the opportunity for domestic growth is over. |

AXP long (American Express) - don't own it but it popped up on my screener & just heard the 'serve' commercial. Usually that means the pop has already happened, but it did not cross my screen until Friday so maybe there's still some life left in it

This company does off-road vehicles ( all kinds ). stock chart very spikey; up 25% on Friday; closed at $10.34 Company founded 2002; Hdq. in Jinhua, China 516 employees. Opinion (barchart) all green ( 100% buy); but maybe some greedy stock buyers may push it up some more. 52 wk. high/low $10.4784/$3.37 |

At the time We picked it in R.L., We were looking for a Monthly paying fund & We wanted it to be dividend centric.
We liked what We saw in SDIV a bunch of companies We could easily Identify, access to some areas of the market We don't really play in as We don't want direct exposure (REITS, Mortgages, Financials, Trusts), Global Exposure, ETC.
Then also at the time (well still really) it wasn't liked by the PRO's; they kept making comments like "Vapor", "Worthless" & "Scam" -- So playing it seemed very contrarian at the time.. And well if you have ever read any of Our posts in Our thread; you know We tend to go right against what most folks do, say or think: at the time We open our Mouth...Which has ended up a lot of times being what folks are doing or saying 3 to 6 months later, generally after a big move one way or the other to whatever end the subject matter was about...
SDIV isn't really a "Toy" as We see many ETF's to be or used as; & it ain't really popular - sort of like us... |

I'm not thinking of this ETF instead of a SCHF but rather in addition to it instead of the money market fund that I seem to be parking cash in
What do you mean by "our thread" ... is that long term investor??

Mod, ....you need to take a course in anatomy ....that's his tongue; my horses have been running backwards for the last couple of races. That 18% bump my opening price got yesterday has put me in the basement all this week. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL YOU FINE FOLKS ....!!! |
