www.latimes.com/nation/nationnow/la-na-nn-colorado-teens-arrested-alleged-plot-20131220,0,1820917.story#axzz2o5L00dBW Police in southern Colorado said Friday they thwarted a school shooting plot by two teenagers, one of whom was said to idolize mass shooters, just a week after a student opened fire in the halls of a suburban Denver high school. Glorioso, who said the two boys in Trinidad planned the attack for about a month and a half, would not release the details of the plot or how they planned to carry it out. He said a search of the teens' homes did not turn up any weapons, but "they had talked about what they could do to get them." Easy- gun show. That favorite loophole that the GOP fights against closing. Good thing the NRA doesn't make law- just purchases it. Anyone think a high capacity magazine was not on their list?

So I see you are talking out of your ass once again. How do you know that it was gun shows? You don't because there is no information in the link that you provided. 2 kids who were bullied fell the only response they have is to kill their bullies, and you want to use it as a bully-pulpit to spew absolute garbage. Facts not speculation is a wonderful thing.

Schools are a slaughter pen situation tactically. With the liberal media giving a lot of air coverage to these events. It tends to spread the idea across the country to every unbalanced and bullied student with access to that media. I don't know if you're old enough to remember "going postal" but there used to be a lot of post office killings that were covered by the media the same way. Eliminate the senationalist coverage of these events by the liberal media in the quest to help for more gun control, the school attack idea will fade away. Like going postal.

If it bleeds, it leads. It is based on ratings, not political agenda.

Yeah, you can concentrate on guns if you want to...I'll concentrate on cars, since they kill far more kids each year than guns. In fact, if you take gang-related shootings out of the numbers, cars kill TONS more kids than guns. And general accidents (non-car) kill even more kids than cars. But, yeah, keep going for that gun prize...I'm sure it will make you feel good, and that's what's most important.

When you said they do it "in the quest to help for more gun control" I didn't realize you knew that real reason was it was the media in the quest to help their ratings and that it was just you using the event to push your political agenda. EDIT: And I do agree they should stop with the sensationalist coverage.

It's the liberals picking away a little at a time at my gun rights are the ones with the agenda. (Fundamental change and all that stuff.)

The first posting has you stating that the coverage was push gun control. In the second, you state that you know it is to improve ratings. The fact that you state one thing while knowing the truth to be something else is the sign of an agenda to me. YMMV

When was the last time you saw a nationwide sensationalist coverage on a person who successfully defended his home against an armed intruder(s) on ABC, CBS, or NBC? Plenty of blood from dead criminals. It would work for the ratings.

I think everyone is missing what the real problem is here. It's not guns, it's not cars. It's teenage boys - every single school rampage has been done by teenage boys. If we were to get rid of them all our problems would be solved. You're welcome.

I guess it depends on what your agenda is for coming up with an agenda to describe what agenda means.

It doesn't help the last three 'self defense' cases in the media involved a post MVA teenage girl, a teenage stepdaughter, and an alzheimer's patient. You have some really bad apples spoiling the bunch. Maybe if people stopped defending the idiots just because they were gun owners, and stopped supporting laws that allow said idiots to get away with their bad decisions it would calm down a bit. The NRA and their minions brought this heat on themselves ever since pushing SYG laws.

SYG is here to stay and is spreading. There are over 100 million gun owners in the US ready to use those laws. The NRA is way more successful than not, is last springs big gun control vote's big fail forgotten already? The NRA always has their finger on the trigger when it comes to protecting US gun rights. You won't find them backing down, or wimping out, when a little heat is applied.

Do they have school shootings?
