Why did I wait so long to try this?! Seriously simple, and so delicious! For a base it's just: 1 14oz can sweetened condensed milk (check the label if you buy store brand, should just be milk and sugar--I looked at one and it had all kinds of crap in it, vegetable oil, and stuff I couldn't pronounce. I spent 15 cents more for the real thing.) 1 3/4 cup milk, cream, or substitute (almond milk, etc) Then add extracts to your taste. There are a bunch of flavors that have been figured out here: www.mrshappyhomemaker.com/2013/03/homemade-coffee-creamer-over-20-flavor-varieties/I mixed some and then divided it into two jars. I used my homemade vanilla extract, homemade cinnamon extract, and (store bought since I haven't made any) almond extract to make the strudel flavor. For the other, I used my vanilla extract, cinnamon extract (so I didn't have to deal with ground nutmeg), and rum extract (I had a bottle from before, when it is gone, I'll just use rum). In the future, I'll try mixes with the other homemade extracts (orange, anise, coffee, etc) Here are how I make my extracts: Homemade ExtractsMy son has started to drink coffee as well, I think he'll experiment with creamer flavors too.
