So he had his 6 month CT scan and consult yesterday. The clavical area (where the tumor was removed and radiated) was clean, but the scan showed a suspucious nodule on his thyroid.
We are headed back today for a biopsy.

If it makes you feel any better, thyroid cancer is one of the easiest to treat and has an insanely high cure rate - I had a nodule removed 10 years ago and no issues since.
I will be thinking of you!

I will be thinking of you! ditto that. I had thyroid cancer 6 years and have had no issues since. I appreciate the thoughts and wishes of everyone. If this was DH's first cancer episode, I would not be nearly as concerned. But he had a malignant tumor removed very close to this area, followed by radiation earlier this year. Also, the tumor that was removed had indicated purennial (misspelled) invasion and I'm wondering if it is the same cancer that has spread... Won't know until the biopsy is back. Maybe tomorrow, more likely next week.... And he still needs to make a decision about the prostate cancer...  |

I'm sorry, GG. My older sister was diagnosed with thyroid cancer last summer, and they just did the surgery.
I would be bonkers with the lag time. She was, too, but not as "noisily" bonkers as I would have been.
Your family is in my thoughts.
