Wow, this inflationary unrest is circling around the globe.
Revolution is stems from discontent with governments, but more so the fuel to this is and has been rising inflation and poor having much harder time making just to survive. Expect more of this around the globe. Wall Street Journal online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703498804576156203874160350.html?mod=googlenews_wsjDeserves a repost from Decoy thread inportance of information it explains.

Mid, I realize this is again my puny voice beating against the mighty walls of your mind, but you are presenting too much information at once. I don't know what it is with you and Decoy, but dumping 31 minutes worth of info (add up the above plus 5:00 for the article) into an OP is not an effective way to disseminate information. Your personal commentary is limited to two pie-in-the-sky sentences about inflation. The protest in your article is about Internet controls in China, with inflation never mentioned, and "food" barely more than an afterthought. You provide no connection between the protests and inflation. And then you provide three videos, none of which anyone will watch because they're each 7 freakin' minutes long, have the title: "On the Edge with Max Keiser-Global Re...', and since you've given us zero context, zero commentary, zero captions, zero excerpts, and zero "pay attention 4:51" time codes, nobody with two brain cells to rub together is going to stick around long enough to figure out what they're about, why anyone should care, and how everything all fits together. As far as I'm concerned, you and Decoy are presenting some of the most thought-provoking and "must-know" information on these boards. It drives me bonkers when you dig up information, throw it all together into a big mash, tag on a spurious "Global inflation is coming!" byline which might as well come with "See if you can dig through this pile to figure out why!!", and then the whole mess into a single post sans commentary, captions, excerpts, timecodes, etc., etc. where it is doomed to die in obscurity. Hence, this upcoming week will be "Virgil's Rules of Content Presentation" week. I will give you and Decoy several seminars in the preparation, dissemination, and maintenance of information. Rant over.

Virgil don't be dragging me into this. I have the NUMBER #1 READ POST here. And people certainly would not be reading it if they were not keeping time with it. I am 50 years old and need no babysitters.
As far as this post/thread goes, this is and has been discussed and presented in THE DECOY 409 POST on Sat. (yesterday). You remember, you were there to correct me and my spelling mistake. Leave me out of the Mid and Decoy thing. I am well aware of your board and straining through what goes on by who said what in 'all' aspects. You need to address Mid, do it. Don't hammer on me.

I don't believe in "hits" or "karma" points being indicative of the success of quality posts. For the thousandth time, hits can be manipulated up. At 2:01 FTI's thread had 21,318 views. I clicked on the refresh button as fast as I could and now he has 22,458. To be fair, decoy had 34133 hits at 2:01 so I added 1000 hits to his thread also. Not bad you two since there were only 11 people viewing the whole board during this time frame. I'm gonna take three days vacation this week and add 3,000,000 hits to the rail thread.

Not to mention, the "Decoy 409 Post" was a carryover from the other board. Don't read more into it than it is Decoy. I had over 20,000 hits on the Asteroid thread!

And those were more legitimate than what can be done on this board. This board does not have the exposure that the MSN MT board had. Everybody might as well get used to the fact that this board gets its readership from members, not people that might have been looking at the stock page and saw "Go to MT with Jim Jubak".

Maybe we should try Robert's Rules of Order?
I am wondering if anyone has been following the clothing inflation that is predicted for later this year. Food prices going up. They say cotton and clothing will go up ten percent. To Midwesterner's original point: The people can only take so much before they break. Think Wiemar Germany for worst case scenario outcome. Wisconsin workers protest. Ohio workers protest. Have the people finally been pushed far enough? Or are they just taking a brief vacation from the television reruns?
At least, I *think* that was his point. To Virgil's point: I didn't take the time to sift through it all.
And I still haven't had the courage to try to figure out what is going on in the Decoy409 post, although I do appreciate the "Road to Serfdom" reference in its title.

Good enough Frank Q. Let us not forget that old FTI's 'End of The World' thread came from MSN MT as well.
So we have Karma manipiulation here, post count manipulation here, hackers able to block others from entering the site manipulation here, smite manipulation here (although many are unaware how you can pull that off with NO smite button), and a FREE site offered to whoever cares to start one.
At MSN MT on the Jim Jubak site we had none of this going on except for locking people out by mod bans. And we were covering the world as the world had access to it.
We had 2 DECOY 409 threads magicly disappear, Duffs thread disappear and reappear, and O&G as well as others have their computers hacked.
So if I understand this right this is no more than a manipulated board with virtualy no credibility outside of the cast of characters that decided to come over from MSN MT.
My post counts at MSN MT were great. And we are in agreement most of us that to much information was being shared at MSN MT and that is why it was shut down.
So the only way to turn others on to this site is through advertising this site itself. Or simply move on to a productive site that we can discuss openly with the rest of the world.
Does that about sum it up.

nicomachus, when we moved here I was under the impression that this site was going to be like the MSN MT site and the carry over would be great! However now that I am aware of say neo, adding 1,000 hits or whatever it is, than this is no more than fabrication veering from truth.
The old MSN MT my first post was entitled,
Quote: MSN Money - MarketTalkwithJimJubak - The DECOY 409 Post : Straight ...The DECOY 409 Post is a refreshing place for a insider look of things. .... From 'HOW TO TRAP RABBITS & THE SOLUTION TO BAD MARKET REPORTS ... boards.msn.com/thread.aspx?ThreadID=1773650... - Cached
For those that followed along, there was and still is a compelling tale of how we arrived to the point in which we are and where we are headed. Now entitled as you see in The DECOY 409 POST here.

Then you have children here like usa and there useless aqusations (like the one above) as well as useless talk on things by pumping things with holes in them left and right that exist and can not hold air.

The point decoy is to stop trying to keep score because it can't be done here. Ignore the hits and karma nonsense. As far as what virgil recommended I agree. Asking someone to take an hour or two off daily to read your information is excessive in most cases. Remember that most of our posters have regular readings outside this board also. Maybe try posting a few paragraphs from an article to wet our whistle. Might be a good idea to remember that many post during breaks at work and disrupting the rest of the office to watch videos is not feasible.

Good enough neo, Go put 100,000 hits on it so the kid can direct aqusations to where they belong! Have a great day!

I'll focus on Mid if you're not interested Decoy. Far be it from me to suggests that 30+ minute info dumps could be restructured into something more reader-friendly.

I agree with Virgil... smaller posts with more said. I rarely read the link content because it overlaps all across the universe. The mere fact that there are cracks in the scam we are enduring should invite us all to get more focused. These are the times we've been waiting for-- more volatility, less controls by manipulators. Why... there could actually be a mis-step or two by the prevailing oligarchies in the near future. THESE events are the kind that make you or break you and set us back on course where common sense is likely the best horse. Youth here will learn, no need to point them out or divert when they call you out. People are dying in Algeria and Bahrain protesting the lack of food and jobs. Thousands protest in Wisconsin for voices in matters that impact their incomes and lives, against politicians who will out-earn ALL union workers in retirement even if they only remain on the job for a month. All seats are hot and growing hotter. Choose your words wisely and keep the content lively.
Know your China history. Since Day-One. The bear awakes to become a formidable competitor for domination. It remains hard to stop until the seasonality of its people change and then it literally drops and hibernates. This awake period has not been as broadly fruitful as others and a huge amount of its resources have been stripped away. May it sleep through the rest of this century and take Wal-Mart with it.
