I'm done and I'm home! I feel 1000 times better than I did when I was put under for my teeth! DH is getting me chicken soup and a cookie, and I'm having some tea now. My mom is washing the much neglected dishes (love her!) and DS is having fun at daycare. I'm feeling pretty lucid but a little physically tired. Doctor said everything went well and I have to schedule a follow-up in two weeks.

Every time I see the title of this thread I wonder why Jenny is having her own political convention.

Well, NJ is going to need a new Governor once Christie is in the White House!

Glad to hear you're home and all went smoothly, MJ.
I was about to wish you good luck - but the procedure's over & done with now.
I remember being put under general anesthesia (IV injection) and though it was nice drifting off to sleep, apparently I was quite the Chatty Cathy and babbling when I came out of it.
(Fortunately only staff heard my ramblings - DH hadn't seen me post-surgery yet.)

So glad to hear everything went well for you, MJ. Any surgery is scary, I don't care what! I'm glad you're home and your mom is there to help you. Just take it easy and heal.

Glad the surgery went well. Hopefully your healing will go as well too. <Wonders how amusing people posting while anesthesia is wearing off would be...?

So glad it went well Jenny! (and that you didn't babble lol)
GA can make people do strange things. My DS1 (now 27) is the calmest, gentlest young man you could ever meet. When he was 5 he had a beauty mark on his cornea removed, and after the GA, he bit the surgeon's hand to blood. The surgeon made me scrub up and come into the operating room to calm DS1 down, saw I was very pregnant, so he put me at DS1's head while DS1 practiced his 5YO kung fu to everybody in the operating room.
It was VERY weird and VERY disconcerting. When we brought it up a few years later (I think he was 10?), he went to pieces, hearing the story.
We've never brought it up again.
