I didn't want one of those thing with 50 buttons that cost $100-400! I wanted just a simple one with more settings than slow, med., fast. I also didn't want one with a plastic pitcher! So I looked on the net and found one that I thought I would like at Lowes. Went yesterday to look and the one I had been looking at was only $30, but the one they had on display was $50!...what gives? Well, after I looked at all the boxes, I found the one for $30...the only difference in it and the $50 one...3 chrome panels on it...for $20 NO THANKS! I got the $30 one!

Doodads cost plenty look at computer printers and the ink. Good for you getting what you wanted without paying as much.

I have a good Waring blender gathering dust in a cupboard... I've only used it a handful of times in 20 years. Why? Because I've found that my Cuisinart food processor can do anything that my Waring blender can do, and more... faster, and with easier clean-up.

I don't have a food processor, but I do use my blender quite a few times a year. I use it to make coleslaw, puree' fruits for jams, puree' apples for making apple sauce, milkshakes....things like that. I don't find it hard to clean at all!

I got rid of my standard blender. I got an immersion blender (MUCH easier to clean) 2 years ago and have had a food processor for a VERY long time. Covers everything I generally do and more (bread dough, soup purees....).

I seldom use my blender. GFY getting the one you wanted.
I got a food processor thingy that is hand cranked and haven't used it. It is taking up cabinet space. A similar one I had in the 70s, I used all the time. My electric food processor didn't last long.
GrS said just pop all the veggies in the food processor for veggie pizza. Sorry. No can do.
