I don't think so- he is not the same as anyone else- he is in the OJ situation. Anyone involved with this has some bias.
Heck- judges are already biased against men for domestic situations and whether they admit to it or not, no one wants to be the judge that let him off the last time before he killed someone else. Same goes for the prosecutor. Well, we'll have to se how it plays out. He doesn't seem to be the sharpest knife in the kitchen drawer.

Guess I will mention it- I think his supporters have vanished- but his latest squeeze is recanting her story to get back with him. www.cnn.com/2013/12/09/justice/george-zimmerman-girlfriend/ George Zimmerman's girlfriend is asking a judge to lift an order that blocks her from seeing him and says she doesn't want charges filed against him. In a court document obtained by CNN Monday, Samantha Scheibe says she wants a no-contact provision against Zimmerman lifted so the couple can "talk and be together." But in a signed affidavit filed by Zimmerman's attorney, Jayne Weintraub, Scheibe says Zimmerman "never pointed a gun at or toward my face in a threatening manner" and claims police misinterpreted her. "I believe that the police misinterpreted me and that I may have misspoken about certain facts in my statement to the police," she said. "I do not feel that the arrest report accurately recounts what happened." Next story- 'it was just a gun cleaning accident', or 'I tripped on the stairs and hit my eye on a doorknob' 3 women, 3 domestic violence allegations, perpetual victim. I have dated maybe 15 women in my day- half very serious-and so far zero domestic violence allegations. Must be lucky 'What the fuck is wrong with me'- said dateless men after hearing this news. Isn't 'never pointed a gun at or toward my face in a threatening manner' kind of a curious statement?

She's an idiot and so is he. When I first listened to the 911 calls I found both of them odd. Hers for being more focused on telling her story to the dispatcher than not getting pushed out her door and his for insisting all he wanted to do was leave while instead refusing to do so and actually barricading the door with some furniture and refusing to talk to police.
Its a retraction statement and probably the most normal thing about this whole incident. Even if all he did was gently push her out the door and lock her out(plus the barridcading and refusing to come out) she'd be a huge idiot to want him back ... so I doubt there will be much angst if she finds herself shot or killed in the future except perhaps from her family.
Hopefully the judge won't lift the order even though I don't believe either of them fully about the incident.

Ack. I read the article in your URL. You forgot the best quote which was something like 'I love him and want to be with him.'
Perhaps since she's volunteering to be his next victim we should let her have the honor. The conditions should be wiring up her place at her expense so the prosecution has an easier time when the inevitable comes up in the future.

Really? Lawyers and judges let guilty people go all the time. They don't lose any sleep over it or even their jobs. I've always hoped that the perp they let off goes after them or their family but that never happens. Tune would change quickly if it did. Look at the stalker situation. DD was stalked one time in HS. Community resource officer aka school cop, addressed it immediately and made sure the perp knew if he even looked in her direction again or anything by anyone else happened to her, the cop knew where to look. That ended it. We had to get her a new cell number and we changed our home number to unlisted, which was long overdue anyway, being a teacher, but it was over.

Really? Lawyers and judges let guilty people go all the time. . totally. and this is precisely what our justice system DEMANDS. or, as Franklin put it: "better that 100 guilty go free than one innocent man convicted."

Yes they do- and they have to-but I am on your side- as long as you do not shoot someone for stepping on your property. You have to understand that I support 100% of any armed response if someone is either breaking into or in your home. I do not support leaving a place of safety and playing cop- so to me that man in GA is a murderer, Zimmerman is a murderer. And on the subject that man in MI that shotgunned a young woman in the face through his screened door is a murderer as well. Comments on it are sickening.

www.cbsnews.com/news/fla-prosecutor-drops-zimmerman-domestic-violence-charges/This guy is an idiot, but he's also got a bullseye on his back. No word on whether or not she'll be charged with filing a false police report. I think the guy needs to install cameras around his house- indoors and out. Had she followed through with her little charade, he could have been convicted of a felony. He seriously needs to wise up.

He needs and has needed professional help. Period. No doubt in my mind. Not sure he's able to be helped though- he was a big Obama zombie. Couldn't stop yammering on about him, told all his friends and neighbors to vote for him. Probably just hasn't been able to figure out what to do with himself since Obama won...

(btw- that was one of the all-time greatest videos The Onion has ever made. You have to pay attention to every word, and watch every detail- it is paralyzingly hilarious)
