money.cnn.com/2013/11/15/smallbusiness/blockbuster-retail-stores/another company founder, originator, started out so well and got their ass kicked, beat up and beat down by the competition that took their idea and moved it to the next level. what's worse and just humiliating when Blockbuster tried to be like Netflix with returning by mail AND to a store!  just sad to see them go! I'll keep my Blockbuster card as a souvenir I guess

They've been shutting down locations for the last 2 years (since 2011) - especially recently in Canada.
This is what happens when a company goes bankrupt (which is what happened with Blockbuster) - time to move along.

yea I know patiencetried - actually I found out about Blockbuster a few weeks ago because of standup comedians. the jokes, oh my! the jokes are funny!    |

I really thought blockbuster was already long gone. We haven't had one around here in years.

LOL excluding the late fees - of course and I so enjoy seeing your avatar! top 5 best Avatars I've seen thanks. some people think it is really weird. i think it is funny. the fact that the fist is so clear, and the personage so famous makes it a winner for me. but the best thing about it was his response to getting hit. he told a reporter later that "i haven't been hit that hard in a long time". no lawsuits, no whining to the press. great man. |

Blockbuster was pretty good if you liked movies with helicopters, car chases, explosions, and lots of shooting. It wasn't so good if you like adult movies.

comedians are joking about their portion of the $35m in Blockbuster debt is because of Blockbuster late fees and they still have the video they have not returned! so I'll admit that my portion of Blockbuster down fall is - well I got Netflix! |
