Weirder yet, it was a story from Florida (MSN has it on the front page) that didn't have guns, hoodies, SYG references, mass murder, or racially motivated mayhem (and murder).

i think single murder might rear it's ugly head though. “He opened the back door and he just fell out the plane.” who was it? Bernie?

You think that's all FL has to offer when it comes to crazy shit? Ever read anything from Carl Hiaasen? Where do you think his ideas came from? Actually this story would fit right in with one of his nutball plots.

Was his name Peter Griffin? No mention of a fight with a giant chicken.

I saw the story on the news at work, started laughing. the pilot was ...his voice was normal, no yelling, or screaming, or excitement, just calm, and normal. the door his passenger opened went down with the passenger. video of the landed plane is missing the door! at first I was laughing cause hey buddy, you're gonna be up on murder charges in 5, 4, 3....! News reporter stated police are investigating if pushed, versus fell.

For some unknown reason, the thread title reminds me of the Beatles' song 'She Came In Through the Bathroom Window'.

My uncle owned a small plane. And when I was a kid he took me flying and we flew with the door open and he did flying tricks. I was about 8 or so at the time so it could happen.

Why would he leave the door open?

But the pilot radioed the tower to say the door was ajar.
Pipers are pretty small planes - similar to Cessnas.
I worked for an Aviation maintenance company several years ago and used to go on test flights after maintenance was done on privately owned planes (it was a little perk of the job).
Once the door is closed/locked by the pilot, it's not likely that it would open on its own mid-air. The pilot's indicator light would also go on - which is probably why he radioed the tower.miami.cbslocal.com/2013/11/15/pilot-demonstrates-door-mechanics-on-similar-mid-air-mystery-plane/It would be pretty difficult for the pilot of such a small plane to release the door hatch while navigating the plane.
It could very well have been that the door wasn't latched properly, but placing a conspiracy theory on the man being pushed from the plane seems preposterous.

I am pretty sure that this guy was a muslim terrorist, who flunked out of the training program for airplane hijack/suicide missions. He just couldn't quite remember the details of how the mission was supposed to progress.

I dunno. I was just a kid. I thought it was cool. see Shooby it's stuff like that happening in the past why safety steps in and no more fun. I can't imagine that happening today! I was thinking this pilot used his auto pilot and pushed his passenger out! Shooby even though you had this flying without a door experience; with tricks. would you be ok with your child in the same situation today time?

LOL! Of course I wouldn't be cool if that was my kid. But back then our parents really didn't worry about every possible bad thing that could ever happen. They didn't have 24 hr news in their face telling them of all the evils in the world 24/7. And, it truly is a different world. My mom just thought that it was family so I would be fine, and I was.

He actually told me to take control of the plane and pull back the wheel or whatever it was. I said 'no" and then he laughed and said we would have done a loop de loop!
