On that long school supplies thread from a few months ago someone posted about pencils - which ones were really good, etc
I would really appreciate that info.
My kid is moving away from color pencils and I want to get him really good ones for writing.
Thank you much!

Ticonderoga according to the teachers around here and my 9 year old. Especially if you have to sharpen them all the time. Course for erasures nothing beats the big white rectangles.

Are you starting the homeschooling? I did already. Wait, I guess it depends on what you consider "starting" LOL

Makes sense. We never formally "homeschooled" but from the time they were babies until now, we're always teaching. Good luck.

Thanks.
I had triangular pencils for him when he first started writing, I thought it would be easier to learn on them.
But now he is using a free pencil he got from his dentist's office, so I think I can move on from colored ones

We use the Mirado Black Warrior at work. They write great! I do editorial work so there are a lot of all-day meetings where written items are being rewritten and rewritten again. I love how smooth they write, usually I hate pencils. I'm very particular about my writing implements!
