Only 2.9 and I'm surprised I felt it. I usually can't tell until they approach closer to 5 And I haven't felt one here for a long time.
Any other Bay Area posters feel it?

I lived in San Francisco in 89. Trust me, they stop being cool when you think your house is going to fall on top of you.

I was living in the south LA area when the big one hit in San Fernando Valley in the early 70s. It was around 6:30am, cat dove under the bed about 30 seconds before the house started shaking. I was awake but DH slept through it.
We were about 50 miles from the epicenter and all day long the radio would tell us when after-shocks would happen and a few seconds later I would feel it. Interesting time.
There are tornados, hurricanes, earth quakes, dust storms. Of these 4 earthquakes give the general public zero warning.

Wasn't that the Sylmar Earthquake?
There is some train of thought that a lot of small earthquakes relieve the pressure and reduce the chances of a "Big One". I sure have noticed a lot of little ones when I'm at our cabin in So. CA. Most of those are based near the Salton Sea or Anza.
