For old shower curtains and/or liners?
We use them as drop cloths when painting.
Ok, who else has a use?

Okay, I'll play covering patio furniture shielding seedlings from bad weather (heat, pounding rain, high winds) making a Halloween costume or other craft/sewing project lining a cat box under the high chair of a child learning to feed him/herself drop cloth for a car oil change cut up and stored between stacked dishes as a cushion lining a refrigerator bin (okay so I'm a cheap frugal nerd )

I saw one used last year as part of a Halloween costume. Lady in the shower. She had put the shower curtain around a hula hoop, wore a shower cap and had tinsel coming out of the shower head to represent water.
i used new ones as a bathroom curtain in our previous house.

My friend wore one with rubber duckies on it to a kilt contest at an Irish pub. He had a whole back story about how he was caught in the middle of a dalliance with a man's daughter, so he ducked into the bathroom, and threw on the only thing in there, before trying to talk his way out of the house. It was pretty funny.
He lost to our friend Phil, who's got a body like a greek god. He wore a tube sock, and only a tube sock, and just stood there for 15 seconds rocking his hips to make the sock spin. Place went nuts.

Girls have been doing this with t*tty tassles for decades ETA: I saw a "dancer" once who was so talented she made one tassle go round-and-round while simultaneously the other one flipped up-and-down

I have another one or two... I use one either folded or a piece of one for putting my knees on when doing gardening. Also use them for dumping out flower pots when repotting or planting...it keeps the soils from messing up everything. Use a piece of one for setting spray cans on so if they rust it doesn't get on the surface where they were placed. Also good for under the cat litter box to catch stuff that stuck to the cat's feet.

We use ours for raking leaves. We rake a pile on the shower curtain and it's easy to drag to the curb where our town picks them up.

Something to rake your leaves onto, then drag the whole pile away... Ruby, you beat me to it!
You can also use it to cover your air conditioner condenser in the winter.

I have one lining the trunk of my car. I also put one on the floor under my ceiling fans when I clean them with a spray cleaner.

I'm using one right now under a blanket and a puppy pad for the new puppy. Thank God, because she doesn't get the concept all the time that the pad is the target - she literally just peed on the blanket . I JUST washed everything yesterday and put down a brand new shower curtain. I use one for painting all the time. Just wait til the paint dries, then fold it up and put it away. Love it!

I had forgotten about using one for under the pee pads. I did that too when my son dumped his dog on me when he went to Japan the first time! Worked great!

I got some with a moose and cabin scene and used them as summer curtains. I also got one for the computer room that had a cabin, water, ducks and a camp fire by some famous outdoor painter. When the sun peaks through, the whole thing brightens.
The idea is to fool my mind into thinking I am out in the woods when actually at home.
Another interior-decorating-challenged thing I did was buying dining room drapes that look like a bush in fall colors. I wanted the feeling of sitting out in the fall wood land.
As far as using old ones, I would use them for the garage or yard as suggested.

Why would you use shower curtains as drapes? Sheer curtains would have given you plenty of light/sun coming through.
That's like your post where you said to pound nails into the wall and use safety-pins to hang drapes instead of using an actual curtain rod or expandable rod that you could run a drape through and snap into the window frame.

NOTHING! just throw them out in the trash! that' like a default answer on Family Feud Same here - if it needs replacing it is stinking nasty to the point I don't want to clean it to reuse it ETA: talking about the liners. But no use for shower curtain either come to think about it.

You could use it to roll a dead body in it so it doesn't make a mess in your car or your friend's freezer. What? Why is everybody looking at me funny? The only thing I can think of is you can use it to cover your mattress if a bed wetter is sleeping over and you don't have the real thing. Dark - Pictures, please!

I cut down a new shower curtain once to use as a valance in a room ... it was a super cute design and I couldn't find fabric I like. We use used shower curtains and liners in the winter to protect sensitive plants from frost/freezing on super cold nights. You could also use one to cover a bike to protect it from the rain, I suppose. You could waterproof a fort. You could use it inside a whelping box. (Puppies! Kittens! Anything else y'all might be whelping) Hang it outside the chicken coop to help keep the chickens warmer. Depending on the amount of shower curtains and the colors, you could probably spell out words in giant letters for Google Earth to pick up. This would also work for NSA satellites and aliens.

You could use it as a weed barrier, too (under mulch or rocks!)
Use it outdoors or camping as a groundcover.
Use it as a mattress protection from moisture
Use it as an extra blanket on your bed (assuming you live somewhere really cold!)
Use it to collect fallen nuts from trees

That's the best suggestion for shower curtains I've seen so far!!
I haven't had to deal with an actual shower curtain in a few years. I have sliding glass door enclosures on both the tub/shower in main bath, and the shower stall in the master bedroom Ensuite. A simple spray down with cleaner and a squeegee cleans off any soap residue from the glass & tiles.
Even when I did have a shower curtain the last place, washing in the machine never really did remove all the soap film or scum. I usually ended up tossing & replacing them twice a year.

I have one under my Cat Genie. The Cat Genie has never leaked, but the shower curtain is there in case it does. It's also good for collecting the little bits of "cat sand" the cats try to bring with them into the bed, onto the couch, and everywhere else!

I have two rods, one for the liner and one for the curtain. Liners get tossed and shower curtain gets tossed when I decide to change decor in bathroom. But I like the idea of Google Earth message - circles and such. May attract UFO and friends.

When I wash mine, I put in both laundry detergent and pine oil cleaner. So mine DO get clean and they smell like a pine forest for a few days! Your water could have had a lot to do with yours not getting clean. Yes Molly, I like your Google message idea! And both NSA and NASA too! Aliens can't read....can they?

We had a soft water tank hooked up to the water lines for the dishwasher & washing machine and we just kept the soft water salt topped up. It wasn't a matter of too many minerals ("hardness")in the water for the washing machine - or the machines. If they weren't washed regularly (like once a week), the soap build-up wouldn't all go away in the wash. With the sliding glass door, when it was open, there was a fabric shower curtain (strictly for decorative purposes/color that the sliding door was concealed behind when open.
Cleaning the glass with a squeegee and a cleaner like Soft-Scrub then a good rinsing- make it clear and sparkling again.
