LOL! SOMEBODY needs to call this out. This is terrible. The matter is being investigated. The officer in question is on office duty and not dealing with the public, or prisoners while the investigation is ongoing, as I understood it. Action is to be taken in accordance with the results of the investigation. It's been "called out".

Um I believe he is still working. Did someone say he wasn't working, Shooby? I didn't read that. What I read in the news was the officer is on station duty and not having any contact with the public while an investigation is being conducted.

Um he slammed her into concrete. He should be in jail pending the investigation and a trial.

Yes, Shooby. We all know he slammed her into concrete. That's not at issue. This happened in Skokie, and I don't make the rules in Skokie. Do you? The question I asked, however, was who said he wasn't working?

How horrible! I live in the land of crooked cops but I have to ask you why you are always bringing up their transgressions and are you also the guy that hates Florida? Why do you hate Florida? I also live in Florida and adore it. But many of our cops suck ass. No really... I think they really do. What is your story? <<pats couch>> Get comfy and tell me your woes. I'm listening. What did this have to do with FL? What I have a problem with is injustice- so when I read stories where people get away with crimes- either cops or citizens- or people are treated improperly in the system it ticks me off. The only reason FL was on the radar for a while is that after the GZ incident the media brought to light a lot of other unjust incidents- not my fault- could have been any state. The stupid SYG law didn't help either- just highlighted a lot more senseless killing that some people will never be held accountable for. How else do we get rid of cops like that guy in the video? If no one says anything and people do not know about it then it gets swept under the rug- no doubt had this video not existed this woman probably wouldn't have a chance in hell of even winning a lawsuit and no one would know what a thug this guy is. I feel for his wife/girlfriend. I never said it had anything to do with FL. I asked you if you were the person who always hated on FL and since you hate on cops (reread my post about me living in FL and how bad our cops are) and I was wondering if you had a bad experience here. I agree with your point - but was just curious. I think the cop that did that to this woman should lose his job and be arrested for assault and I think Zimmerman got away with murder. But I honestly don't see how thread after thread here about either situation helps stop them from happening again so I was just wondering what you were trying to accomplish or are you just venting? I also hate injustice.

I'm willing to wait to see what comes of the investigation being done in Skokie. If that results in this turkey flying, then I'll pitch a hissy.

The stupid SYG law didn't help either- just highlighted a lot more senseless killing that some people will never be held accountable for. It has nothing to do with Florida. You are correct. As for the rest of your statement, you are incorrect. You don't have a problem with injustice, just what YOU perceive as injustice. You also have a bit of a problem with facts. This wasn't a Chicago issue, it happened in Skokie, Ill. The woman was from Chicago.... You're going to piss and moan about a 12 or 13 mile difference? Seriously? It is still metro Chicago. CORRECTION: The border distance between Skokie and Chicago is zero. Correction: Skokie is another city. It is not Chicago. Illinois and Wisconsin share a border. The border distance is zero. We don't attribute shit that happens in Wisconsin to Illinois and vice versa even though they share an Interstate highway system. If you can't see it as wrong to blame Chicago cops for an incident that happened in Skokie than you have other issues. If you guys are going to "piss and moan" about all the "injustices" of the world, than at least be accurate in your statements. I was. Facts are a pretty big deal. Look into the concept and you'll sound much more intelligent when you post.

But I honestly don't see how thread after thread here about either situation helps stop them from happening again so I was just wondering what you were trying to accomplish or are you just venting? I also hate injustice. Some people see a pattern- that pattern is in their own minds. As far as I can remember the only FL cops I posted about was the dipshits that shot the unarmed guy in his driveway because they thought he was burglarizing a car. FL law on the other hand I gave a lot of shit- mainly because it was in the news with the numerous ridiculous and outrageous SYG cases where people got away with obvious crimes, then they wanted to hit a HS senior with a felony and sex offender status because they were involved with a freshman just over 3 years in age apart. I don't even have to go into the criminal you folks elected governor. Call it venting- I have no personal issues with FL and I go there quite often- so far only good experiences- I like it. Maybe if FL would quit making the news.....All started with Bush V. Gore and it's been downhill ever since.

You of all people are going to moan about someone stating a true fact? And yet you hold conservatives to a pure standard of toeing the line in their facts being 100% correct. The ole Democratic liberal double standard bait and switch tactic is alive and well I see. Oh please VB. Skokie shares a village border with the city of Chicago. Skokie's streets are a continuation of Chicago' street grid along with being served by Chicago's transit authority. Why I imagine Skokie even sells Chicago-style pizza. I guess from now on, I am going to have to scrutinize every one of your posts for any deviation from exact fact, no matter how small or petty a difference. No more saying Chicago (in general). No more saying NYC (in general). I will look for the exact neighborhood name. If not provided, you will be called out. You already do that with me already. Thanks for admitting it. All I ask is hold your minions to the same standard.

Tennesseer and Value Buy, leave the subject of whether, or not, Skokie is a suburb of Chicago for another time, and place, please. Stick to the subject of the thread instead of one another. - mmhmm, Administrator

For the record this post was not about Chicago- it was about a police officer's battery on someone in their custody with no repercussions so far. I didn't know Skokie wasn't a part of Chicago so blame me. Is it even relevant what city or state this happened in?

Is it even relevant what city or state this happened in? No. But considering a face-into-benching incident in the middle of nowhere has no relevance to anyone here anyway...

Update. The nineteen year veteran police officer is on paid leave and has been charged by the Prosecutor. He could receive jail time.

Dear Heavens! Did you all get boxes of Snippy Juice in your Trick or Treat bags?
I work with cops. I respect them and the tough job they do. Nine times out of ten, I'm going to side with the cops because I have ZERO tolerance or sympathy for drunk drivers or the resulting issues from their stupidity. You get what you get when you get stupid.
However....this woman couldn't possibly have posed a threat to that officer, unless we find somewhere down the line that in those few seconds she was out of camera, that she pulled a weapon from her panties. The investigation isn't concluded. Just because he hasn't been charged yet doesn't mean he won't be. And if all this plays out to be like what it appears to be, I hope he's put in prison with the rest of the thugs.

I thought it was disturbing to watch a citizen being treated like that by the very people who are supposed to protect her. It was unnecessarily violent that encounter.
