I have the same as people here with renter's insurance rather than home insurance.
I wonder if anyone (maybe Phil?) self-insures for something that most people buy insurance for. Maybe dental insurance because most people are not concerned about catastrophic losses as with health insurance?

I have dental through my job, but would self-insure if it weren't already provided.
Health Vision Dental Life AD&D LTD Homeowner's Auto (I choose the highest deductible)
No umbrella, no riders, no long-term care...don't feel any of them are appropriate for me

No Life insurance other than through my employer- I don't really need it. DH would get by on our retirement funds. No Long-term disability, no long-term care. Our retirement funds should also take care of those if the need arises. I probably should get my jewelry insured separately, but I always keep it in a safe bolted to a shelf in a closet and have only a few pieces out at a time. No flood or Earthquake cover- flooding isn't a problem in this area and we're fare enough away from New Madrid that I don't worry about it.
We have the usual auto, home, health and dental coverages, plus a $2 million umbrella. If DH or I ever run into anyone they've won the lottery.

No drug/dental/vision insurance right now - we're paying out of pocket for those things at the moment...Hope to get me some of that coverage again when I get my next job Compared to the rest of you guys, I feel as though we're a little light on the insurance...

I have the same as people here with renter's insurance rather than home insurance. I wonder if anyone (maybe Phil?) self-insures for something that most people buy insurance for. Maybe dental insurance because most people are not concerned about catastrophic losses as with health insurance? DH has dental insurance at no cost to him through work. The cost to add me and the kids is more than what yearly cleanings cost, and the benefit tops out pretty quick, so it's not worth purchasing family coverage. So, we have Homeowners with rider for jewelry and boat and jetski Auto (2 vehicles) Umbrella Policy Health Dental (for DH) Long term disability Life

Health (through work) Vision (through work) Dental (usually self insure but I need a lot of work done this year- for me only and I've also budgeted with FSA) Life (both through work- we each cover ourselves plus some on the other spouse) Homeowners Auto (2 vehicles)
We self insure our dog- he has too many pre-existing conditions to make it worth shelling out for a premium I need to look into a rider for guitars, guns, and my wedding rings

HDHP w/ HSA (covers me and youngest DD) Vision (just me) Dental (just me) Life (2x annual income plus I pay additional to bump it up to 3x)
All of these are through my employer; other than that I just have auto on 3 vehicles and my DD1 reimburses me for her car. I'm a co-owner so I could keep her on my policy - less expensive for both of us versus individual policies.
I do have to say I was bit surprised to those who have insurance on their cell phones. Are you really that hard on them that you need the insurance?

Health Dental Homeowner's Auto Vision Cell phone for my DF (he breaks them) Comp for me (I break them) I plan to get a jewelery rider at some point for my wedding rings (not a priority right now) I also plan to get an umbrella policy after we get a second rental as well as disability for my DF starting in around June. He will get life insurance when I get pregnant.

Health Life Auto Homeowner's Umbrella jewelry/computer equipment riders DH brought home a box of jewelry from his mother/grandmother a year or two ago. Most of it was pretty regular stuff but I had some of the items appraised. It would cost about 20k to replace one of the rings.
