What a pickle- female and black uses a firearm in self defense- how ever doth it make sense?  Bet they don't know what shoe to put on first with this one   Whom to blame..............

That's right- another Zimmerman Florida thread ah ha ha ha ha. 


My prediction the usual NRA defenders will have exactly shit to say in this case.  Doesn't fit their self defense fantasies......

Has nothing to do with the NRA and self defense. It has everything to do with the stupidity of the judge and prosecutor in this case and the improper jury instructions and possibly over zealous prosecution of this woman for discharging a firearm during a dispute, not to mention mandatory sentencing laws. I would think that you would have rejoiced in the verdict yourself being so anti gun, anti self defense and all, but since the original jury deliberated for only 12 minutes on this one, I'll wait for the story to come out in it's entirety before talking much of a position.....

Not really the same case at all......Zimmerman was protecting himself from being beat to death by a thug......She discharged a gun with the intent to intimidate her husband.

I think he shot the guy after getting a bloody nose, then probably whacked his own head to have an excuse.

Much better - though I think the underlying NRA fantasy is much more Clint Eastwood and a few badass words before they dispatch the black gang banger.  That's why Zim is such a hit on that side of the fence and the necessity that his victim be as gangsta as possible- hence the smear campaign.

Just like on the Obamacare funding debacle though- this case splits the conservatives- one part defends her right to stand her ground and denounces the prosecutor as going overboard and the other support Correy in this case and think the lady deserves 20 years in jail for a warning shot.  Remember- this is FL- so to be fair- just like in the Zimmy case- she is justified unless the prosecution can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that things did not go down the way she said they did.  Kind of makes it easy to spot the racists however- they are the ones that switched sides.
