Pope Says Church Is ‘Obsessed’ With Gays, Abortion and Birth Control Six months into his papacy, Pope Francis sent shock waves through the Roman Catholic church on Thursday with the publication of his remarks that the church had grown “obsessed” with abortion, gay marriage and contraception, and that he had chosen not to talk about those issues despite recriminations from critics. His surprising comments came in a lengthy interview in which he criticized the church for putting dogma before love, and for prioritizing moral doctrines over serving the poor and marginalized. He also reaffirmed that atheists can make it into heaven if they listen to their conscience. My guess would be that he means your conscience is God talking to you, since a conscience is a universal thing and it comes down to free will if you choose to listen or not.  |

Is it that, or all there is, is the 10 commandments? When you think about it, at it's core, those 10 simple rules are essentially JC's entire message. I see the new guy is catching onto how this come full circle... Pope attacks global economics for worshipping 'god of money' The global economy is actually dependand on consumers.
