Perhaps we can keep all the Florida hatred and George Zimmerman related posts bottled up in this thread.
It would be much better than having 5 threads a day started by the same person or persons on these subjects.
For the record...I see this thread quickly fading away into oblivion because the person or persons who should be constantly using it will ignore it and continue to post countless threads about the above stated subjects.

I hate Florida, it's too hot, the grass is funny, and there are too many retirees.
There we go...

Hopefully this thread can serve as a venue for serious discussion on my earlier proposal to euthanize Floridians.
In the two weeks since I first presented it, 27,488 (+/- 5%) Floridians have died agonizing deaths due to being shot by ground-standing firearm owners. Their suffering is on your heads, and anyone else's who refuses to take my proposal seriously.
The post links to a short, 38-page whitepaper written by a co-author and myself. The paper addresses many of the key concerns raised during closed group discussions, and I'm confident that it will bring you on-side with the proposal. Give it a read and we'd welcome feedback, constructive revisions, and your general support.
Help us end the madness.

Thank you, Davebo. I do, too. It isn't perfect but what state is? I could rip apart a few states I've lived in but all I pretty much say is that their weather stinks or their economy is bad. I don't hate them or have a vendetta against them. Sheesh.

Once a year, thousands of Floridians stand at the state line and toss dead fish into Alabama. It's the annual Mullet Toss hosted by Flora-Bama Beach Bar in Pensacola.

That may be how it started, but now it's the annual contribution to Alabama's state food pantry.....

I like FL- so there. Go there quite often. Politically and legally though- FL started it with with Bush/Gore and it went downhill ever since. Add in some crazy residents and I will criticize at will.
How about this- new motto- FL: at least we aren't as bad as Texas. Yes- maybe it is time to give TX a closer look. FT will enjoy that.

Besides suing for legal fees, I'd be suing for loss of my life/wife. The stress of what the state put him through took its toll again on him.

And all the crappy drivers are not from here or have not lived here most of their lives. I'm just sayin'.

Just noticed how similar criticizing FL laws and politics= hates FL, is to criticizing certain other laws and politics= hates America. Same mindset. No refutation of arguments, no points to be made. Cop out. Methinks someone has issues. Maybe someone should start an all-encompassing thread on P&M on how Obama is ruining the country That would save a LOT of space.

i don't hate Florida. i see a lot of pluses to it. but i don't care for the Summers there, even near the water, and i don't like the politics outside of the urban areas. i particularly like Tampa/St Pete. in the Winter.

No one does- but I will rag the shit out of people that think shooting a thief in the back is ok. So far we have PBP and Zib that will take a life to save property.
That makes them less than human IMO. But free country-free to be the worst of the worst.

FL is great- have a condo @ Perdido Key- my folks own one in Gulf Shores. Had lunch at McGuires about 5 weeks ago. That's Pensacola Beach. FL is fine- the people are fucked.

Not the same thing at all. You just don't like that others have realized what I realized a long time ago. You are filled with hate, period, and some of it, for some reason, is toward Florida. That's okay but it makes you a bit off. People rag on me about Tebow. That's okay, not changing my mind, either, but I don't hate those who rag on me about him. I move on with my life, something you seem unable to do. In your little mind Zimmerman equals Florida or some other whacked out idea. It gets old. But you keep on trying to revive the dead duck. Just sad, poor little man child. I LOVE buttercream. On to better topics, yum!

Zimmerman seems to me to be on a path to self destruction, something the holier than thous will be thrilled about. His life has been ruined because of malicious prosecution and I'm sure he will die very soon. That ought to satisfy the haters.

What I want to know is, why do liberals move to Florida and complain about the state's political leanings. It is not like they did not know it before they moved there. It is kind of like the weather. You can always talk about it, but you will not change it. Unless you are a liberal at P&M and think you can with your posts dj, you have to go a little further south than Tampa. Sarasota and points south are better imo, and you get a quicker straight shot across the state to the Atlantic side for a liberal variation of Florida to boot.

His life has been ruined because of malicious prosecution and I'm sure he will die very soon. That ought to satisfy the haters. I tend to agree with you, from the little I've read, zib. Here's a guy who hasn't had a lot of success in his life. His dad was a magistrate (not that that means much, but it would to many). It's my guess George has never felt he's living up to expectations (his or those of others). All of a sudden, he's in the spotlight and stays there for awhile. His picture is in the paper and his name is on everyone's lips. He's scared, but that publicity is like a drug to someone with low self-esteem. When he was found not guilty, there was a lot of hubbub which quickly began to die down but his need for it hasn't. The traffic stops haven't been something he planned, but they've been egging that need on by fulfilling it, in a way. He's getting involved in public displays to fill that void. Most folks would have crawled into their hidey-holes and tried to keep as low a profile as possible, just wanting life to go back to normal. The fact that George hasn't done so is what cues me (at least) that there's a problem. Apparently, his wife sees it, too. He hasn't been with her trying to get their lives back together. Instead, he's been galavanting around trying to find that illusive spotlight. I feel sorta sorry for the guy, at this point. He's not the brightest bulb on the tree and he's not handling all this very well, IMO. <removes "shrink hat" and wanders off to fix breakfast >

It was obvious when he went after someone he didn't know for sure was also armed that he was seriously nuts. We are taught from DAY ONE to never get close to a potential perp let alone follow one in the dark. What a freakin idiot. But you may be right about him not living up to daddy. Thank GOD I never had that issue with my parents. I did as a child feel I could never be as beautiful or as talented as my mother but I grew out of that. It's true on both counts but I'm better in other ways so it evened out finally. It seems like it never did for him.

What I want to know is, why do liberals move to Florida and complain about the state's political leanings. It is not like they did not know it before they moved there. The same reason people from NYC move to northern NY and complain about the lack of public transportation and that you can't get decent sushi, bagels, lattes, and pizza.

No kidding. Casey Anthony got away with murder and she lies as low as she can which is very smart for her because a lot of people haven't forgotten she killed her own child. Zimmerman is a seriously sad sack. It won't be long for him. I hope he gets help because money isn't going to save him.

Over the years, I've found it's not that uncommon. We tend to see our mothers through different eyes than we see ourselves. It takes a long time, for some, to recognize our own strengths. We see our faults very early, though. I've felt, from the beginning, this man thought he had something to prove to himself, and to his family and friends. It's gotten him in trouble more than once. This time, the trouble was big enough to make him a "star" of sorts. He's going to keep seeking that spotlight, I'm afraid.
