I would like to see some sort of change where a cut player's salary doesn't count against a team's salary cap; but at the same time when a team cuts a player, they are still responsible to pay that player the remainder of the contract. I hate seeing any team not be able to cut a player because they can't afford the "hit" to their salary cap. In this way, all of the contract would be guaranteed, but teams would not be stuck with players that they do not want.
Also, in return for players being guaranteed to make all the money of their contract, players have to play out those contracts. I hate seeing players sign long-term, big money contracts where they get the bulk of their money up front and then near the end, that players decides they aren't getting paid enough. The first part would also deal with owners offering big salaries at the end of the contract with the thought that they can always cut the player and not be responsible for it.
