Yay! Most beautiful scenery. Since I have a lovely view of Pikes Peak from my backyard, I tend to agree.

Aw, we already knew that New York's food ruled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for Alabama having ugly people - well, it's what happens when first cousins marry, and baby's mama marries baby's daddy, except baby's daddy is also really mama's uncle. Those uglies just stay in the same end of the gene pool. California as the craziest state - no surprise - Loop AND Dark live there. But how did Massachusetts wind up with a weirder accent than New Jersey? Jerseyites need a translator and a dictionary.

Definitely feeling the CA love . . . coolest people, craziest people, hottest residents, runner-up for best food and best scenery, and Overall Favorite State.
Take THAT all you CA bashers and haters . . . Peace Out, Baby . . .

Geez Texas isn't feeling the love.
They were talking about it on the radio this morning. Everyone in Austin blames it on Rick Perry (he IS a total idiot IMO). Of course, Austin is a liberal city in a conservative state. We want to succeed from Texas

Iowa's scenery sucks.
Depends on where you're driving, IMO. Same with Nebraska.
Totally agree with Kansas being the worst, it's nothing but dirt.

HOLD UP!!! How did NJ get ugliest residents and worst scenery?!?! I mean sure, if you're only driving through Elizabeth and Newark to get to the city, then yeah - it's ugly and stinky. But venture to the numerous beaches, farms, and gardens and you'll find beautiful scenery. At least we got mentioned in "most underrated." We do have a lot of overly spray-tanned people though.

I'm surprised Iowa didn't get worst food. Cream of celery/chicken/mushroom soup, mayo and sour cream are in just about everything. Sometimes all three are in the same casserole!

Ah, we're most under rated. Good, we try to keep it a secret how great it is here.
(Totally agree on Kansas and the worst scenery.)

That describes every dish that an older friend of mine makes. A few of us always go visit her on Thanksgiving and her cream of crap food is a running joke between all of us. She has the food set out on a long table in the kitchen and she likes to walk behind everyone and make sure they have some of everything. It all tastes the exact same and every year I feel like I have eaten about 3 cans of crap

Your older friend must be my MIL. I hate church socials. We go to be nice for MIL but I can't eat anything. It tastes horrible and is a total salt/fat/cholesterol fest. I told DH that's it after the last one. I ended up with food poisioning because nobody grasps the concept of heating/refridgeration. They set the darn things up at like noon and it isn't till 5 pm.

LOL! I think that's how Orlando once won Drunkest City. I'm surprised our best food category wasn't higher. South Florida and you have/make great food.

I'm surprised our best food category wasn't higher. South Florida and you have/make great food. We have some spots where there is great food; it's not uniform or widespread, but it's getting there. Miami and Fort Lauderdale, certainly, thanks to celebrity chefs and sports teams. Orlando does, thanks to the Mouse House and tourism. Tampa/St. Pete for Gulf seafood, so it's hard to go wrong. West Palm Beach is at a crossroads. We have a huge variety of ethnic cuisines, due to the number of colleges, universities and research facilities here. We get students and faculty from all over. We also have a lot of folks visiting and emigrating. That's not a bad thing. I like the idea of walking out the door and finding Peruvian, Honduran and Ethiopian food near a chicken and waffles joint, a noodle shop and a steakhouse.
