Little League World Series

has anyone else been watching so far this year? this weekend is the regional finals to set the lineup for Williamsport.

there has been some amazing play so far, but I have to say the best I've seen is the game that just finished on ESPN. Westport, CT just beat Lincoln, RI in the Northeast regional finals by a score of 1-0. CT scored their lone run with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 5th inning in their last at-bat. had RI's 3B not bobbled the ball trying to get a force at home, they might have gotten out of it. but wow, what a great game! I hope those kids from Lincoln don't hang their heads for too long.

I "watched" at it off and on.

Years ago my city hosted the regional Babe Ruth games. Being host city we had a team and my son was selected as one of the team - played short stop. We didn't win the regionals but that was an awsome experience. I was able to attend all the games even after we lost. To this day I still love to watch Little League and Babe Ruth games when I get a chance. I may have to go dig out the program now  I've been needing to get some order to that box of stuff anyway. See what you caused? Now I am gonna have to go to work!!!

All I know is husband is working in Williamsport this week and not looking forward to it.

dem, you ought to tune in for this CT team that beat your boys. they will play next on Wed. I'm watching them beat the snot out of the WA team right now, all after the WA pitcher took a line drive off his knee (that sucks, I hope he's okay...) 

there's still a US game to be played later, but I watched the opening day of round robin games, I have a feeling that the US championship is going to be CT vs Chula Vista, CA. there are some damn fine young players on both those teams!
