And should all sports have something similar?
I actually like the franchise tag, although I'd like to see a limit to the number of times one team can do it to the same player. While most likely if a player doesn't want to be on a specific team, in theory a team could keep franchise tagging that player every year if that player were that good. I think it could make things interesting if all sports had it.
