It's 2:15 AM. I woke up laughing and figured I should share. The condo is hot (AC is at a low setting), and when it's hot I always have vivid dreams. Tonight's dream started with me complaining that it would take me days to fax a huge pile of documents (to whom or for what, I didn't know). I took a look at one and found that it was actually an envelope containing a bunch of rocks and garbage. The dream then immediately moved into a busy coastal bar somewhere in the US, at night, overlooking the ocean, and I was with DJ, Swamp, mmhmm, and Paul at a table. I felt inadequate in the sense that the meeting seemed like an open discussion of professionals, but I had no idea what the discussion was about. There was something about a navy captain dying in a prototype government submarine (I can't remember exactly), but it quickly came to light that we were discussing theories on who had killed this captain. And I was suddenly relieved because I remembered that the letter full of junk I'd found was from one of the navy's troubled proteges, and that the reason I'd had it was because I'd deposed him on his possible role in the killing. Hence now felt like I knew what I was talking about. And I explained, truthfully, that the protege had been seen proposing a toast (in the very bar we were currently in) to celebrate the victim's death, and that I felt that was awfully brazen if the protege was the killer. And I also explained, truthfully, that the protege had an excellent alibi. At this point everybody got very excited, Paul most of all, and he stated very enthusiastically to mmhmm, " Just you wait, I'm going to take a shot at this." (these words exactly) in such a way that I knew he was asking her permission to start a thread. I was understandably curious, and so I logged on to the boards (I was just "on" the boards at this point; I guess I had a computer with me) and was immediately looking at Paul's new thread. The subject was simply "Davy Jones", and the OP had some text and a picture of "Davy Jones" from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. At which point I woke up laughing. Not a word of a lie. And although I enjoyed the laughter and have had a few dreams about "the board" before, it's surely a sign that I'm spending too much time here. (With apologies to DJ, Swamp, mmhmm, and especially Paul. )

Virgil hon, you need to get a life, like seriously. I don't even dream about the bloody Boards and I'm on here more than you.

Is it sad that because I've been on the Trayvon thread a fair amount I'm a little sad I didn't rate inclusion in the dream? Dream interpretation wise I'm confused. I probably should be happy I wasn't included. I am on here way too much. No dreams of the boards or personages so far.

Oh! My! Gosh! I've just been messing around playing a little game from BigFish. It's a search-and-find kind of game called Nightmares From the Deep - The Siren's Call. The villain is ... Davy Jones! This one, however, didn't look like the one in Pirates of the Caribbean! Now, will someone please tell me what I was doing sitting at a table, in a bar, with Paul, of all people!?! Swamp, DJ and I, I can see. Paul?!? Really? That's quite a group your subconscious managed to put together! I'm laughing right along with you, Virgil! Too freaking funny, and the coincidence is mind-boggling!

I only listed the people I knew were there for sure. And don't ask me what you looked like, because I didn't have any conception of that particular detail. The only one I visualized was Paul, and that's because I know what he looks like (or at least what he looked like) from a photo he posted. As for where "Davy Jones" came from, I haven't the foggiest. But obviously even in the dream I found him to be an unlikely murder suspect. Now I can't get back to sleep for some reason.

Woo hoo Virg - must be one of those nights (mornings?). I am up and out way too early for a walk. Technically breaking the law because the park by lake Winnebego does not open until 4 am. Must be one heck of a Friday we are in for...

Virgil just wake your wife up, have sex and you'll be out in 3 minutes tops.
If that doesn't work here is the 13 minute one.
Your Welcome, Geez

I'm disappointed I wasn't in the dream either - but since I don't spend much time on P&M, that's understandable - I would have just liked to be so that if Virgil ever asked a favor of me, I'd be able to say "In your dreams, fella".

I just went back into the Zimmerman/Martin thread and figured out why I'm having nightmares about it. So that's it. I'm officially done there. While I still cling to the tattered shreds of my sanity.

I got out early when I was being challenged. DH asked why I got involved in the first place then he went on to gather every fact he could find so he could intelligently as opposed to emotionally post on another board. ------------------ To the dream. I have taken a couple of dream projection workshops. They are interesting. This one would be great. For some reason, all of my handouts have disappeared on this subject. Even the dream work that was done in the last workshop.

LMAO Virgil!!! I can honestly say I have never had a dream about the boards in any way. Thank goodness!!! It's a vicious cycle. I wake up in a cold sweat and can't fall asleep again. Mrs. Virgil is out like a light. It's 2:30 AM. What am I going to do? Read the boards. Oh look. "Did Trayvon Martin have rabies?" Three pages of discussion about it. Back to bed. Have a dream. Wake up in a cold sweat. ...

Davy Jones, Pirates of the carribean, lakefronts, coastal places....Virgil, what did you do? This sounds like youve come up on the radar screens of the US NSA. I think they may be monitoring you. And it sounds like "waterboarding" being used on you while you sleep. Man, what kind of information do you have that they want??

I know the truth about the massacres in mountain reaches of Afghanistan. All those villages massacred by "Taliban", and yet the bodies are not found riddled with bullets but with lacerations from claws and fangs. The world will know someday. The "cute" photos and propaganda won't blanket the truth forever, mark my words.

So what do I look like in your dreams? You didn't "look" like anything. Your appearance wasn't part of the dream. Paul was the only one who had an appearance, which is presumably because he's the only one I've ever seen a photo of. Although now that I think about it: at least one of the people at the table was a heavy-set woman with dark, curly hair. Don't ask me who it was, or where that particular detail came from. ETA: What's scary is that I could give you a down-to-the-meter layout of the bar, including the walkway and docks around the back and sides.

Since the layout of the bar is so vivid and detailed, it's clearly your subconscious mind telling you that if you're going to be spending any amount of time in P&M, you'd best take up drinking.
Either that, or P&M is driving you to drink.
