After reading about him I am so glad I don't watch sports any more
baseball used to be a game for kids that adults could enjoy too

players cheat for one reason, period
money.....
until the penalties are so awful that the cheating is no longer worth it, the cheating will continue
it is easy to fix....
1st time ped user same penalty as now 50 games
2nd time ped user....VOIDED contract....this is what will cause the ped use to completely disappear
Take Braun for an example...he loses 65 games this year...and the rest of this years contract amount
But what if the rest of this 100 million + contract were null and void now......
Next year wasnt guaranteed......
Do you think the PED use would continue?

Money is the answer, as gdgya said.
The temptation is too great for many not to try anything and everything to get a competitive edge because power bats and power arms translate into millions. Btw, baseball is not alone with this problems. PEDs are being used to cheat in all sports. Sad but true.
The major problem I have with Braun is how he swore up and down he was clean when he was caught before and won his appeal. He has zero integrity to do that to his team and to his fans.
