I have been changing banks for months now. I refuse to close my old account until Emigrant links to my new account. First, they had me fill out all this paperwork, and send them a voided check and a sperm sample, and picture of my ultrasound, and then they said "Oh, this is Wells Fargo, you need to do a different process." How come they couldn't tell it was Wells Fargo when I picked it from a friggin' drop-down list?
Anyway, I did their next set of paperwork. Anyone go through this with them recently? How long will it be until I'm up and running.
(Charles Schwab's process was much easier, and much friendlier!)

Yeah, I remember having to go through this when I opened my Emigrant account a few years ago. It was a pain in the arse. I will probably close my ED account soon, not much of a reason to keep on dragging it along. Their interest is lower than ING at the moment. Overall, I prefer ING over ED. Hmm, at least now I know that I wasn't the only one to submit sperm samples. I was too shy to ask here before.

After all of this, I probably won't change for an additional .2% - although that is more than 20% higher.
Where is that inflation we were promised? I've got all my debt locked in - I'm ready for interest rates to spike up!

yeah, me too. I don't have any debt except a little bit left in our 2.75% mortgage.
