ain't it fun to be considered a statistical anomaly? i always enjoyed it. I'd rather be that than see what our lives would have been like if either man my mom married had been allowed to hang around. personally, I'd say all things considered, we're pretty fucking awesome as adults. None of what we went thru as kids has been repeated by us.

Well, look, he's married to an almost man. You're bad (but not far off).

Well, look, he's married to an almost man. You're bad (but not far off). His hairy-ness clearly did and does not disgust her? His desire to, um, be close to her via her female sanitary products is endearing to her?

I don't even know what you're talking about. If it's some kind of gay joke, just get to the punchline.

I don't even know what you're talking about. If it's some kind of gay joke, just get to the punchline. [Kittensaver takes Virgil aside to explain British Gossip: many people think Prince Charles' current wife is very "horse faced" and/or man-ish looking. The gossips like to trash her because she "destroyed" Charles' "fairy tale" marriage to the "much more beautiful" Princess Diana. During the break-up and divorce, private texts between Charles and Camilla were intercepted by paparazzi and published to the public. In one of them, Charles told Camilla he wished he were one of her female hygiene products so that he could always be close to her lady parts - this is cleaned-up language from what he actually said ].

Ah.
That's actually even worse than a gay joke.
I obviously know jack about the British tabloids.

It sure wasn't "Love your neighbor, except for the ones who don't agree with your every superstition, delusion and misinterpretation". The exceptions and exclusions must be on some "lost addendum of amendments" to the script... ?

If a homosexual man was about to be shot, I'd like to think I'd have the courage to step in front of him.

The guy who brings a gun to a knife fight has a distinct advantage over the guy who brings a knife to a gunfight.

What is it with the horse-faced women anyway? Hear that comment pointed at Sarah Jessica Parker, Hilary Swank- actually Charles looks like a horse Oh man: celebrities.ninemsn.com/slideshow_ajax.aspx?sectionid=8847§ionname=slideshowajax&subsectionid=7776183&subsectionname=horsefacedcelebs

There are some women who seem to have some characteristics that are more man y than womanly. Add to that careless dress and hair and the no make up look, you've got the makings of a horse faced woman. Sarah Jessica Parker does have the long face but she usually dresses well and carries herself nicely. DF and I get into arguments about whether someone is a man or a woman. I'd hate for anyone to ever be confused like that about me.

Link to conclusive studies, please. Find 'em yourself. One concerning pedophiles was posted on the boards not long ago. The others would take hours to compile. Do your own research.

I sure hope it wasn't this one. The thread's author was laughed at (and much deserved) for several weeks: Pedophilia Is A Sexual Orientation Under CA Bill

No. It was in one where DJ and I were arguing about drug use. And I don't recall if the argument was even on topic. Only if I care enough about making a persuasive argument to spend time compiling whitepapers. Instead I plan on spending my free time this evening watching "Wreck-It Ralph", since the premise seems intriguing and I missed it in theaters. You may question those priorities, but such is life.

Posting links they've requested completely defeats the purpose.

Rickrolling a thread about a child's rape is, IMO, in pretty damned poor taste.

Mea culpa. But the thread isn't "about a child's rape". That fact appears nowhere in the thread title, any of the thread comments up to and including mine, or the article in the OP. When I made the comment, you and DJ were joking about Dr. Gosnell, which some might argue is also in "pretty damned poor taste". I wouldn't have made the comment if I'd known about the rape. Your loss.

Believe me, I'm perceiving no loss, Virgil. It might be a good idea, next time, before rickrolling a thread take the time to read the article. The child was kidnapped. We didn't find out she'd been raped until after the first article was posted. However, a kidnapped five-year-old isn't a subject for rickrolling, either, IMO. Some took it badly, including me.

I know, and I'm not faulting you. There's no mention of rape or anything upsetting in the article in the OP. It's a story with a happy ending, and even the premise of the thread is "something different"--as in: a bit of levity. As it turns out, the story is just more bad news and really isn't "something different".

I disagree, Virgil! Yes, the story brought bad news, but that doesn't lessen what those two teens did. Teens get put down all the darned time for being lazy, useless PITAs. Watching those boys' faces as the community recognized the importance of what they'd done was absolutely priceless! For them, I imagine it was something very different, indeed. As one of the boys said: "I feel like I did something accomplishing today!" Dang straight you did, son!

Ah. So you meant "something different" in the sense that we ought to celebrate the bravery of the two boys rather than mourning the depravity of the perpetrators. I can drink to that.
