Who else gets a little excited when pitchers and catchers have their first practice?

Baseball season is upon us! Woo! Who else gets a little excited when pitchers and catchers have their first practice? Oh!!.. I DO!!... I love the start of spring traing..... and listening to the spring training games on the XM while at work. I think Opening Day needs to be a national holiday! It is one of the best days of the entire year....  |

Yeah opening day is much bigger for me. Dad gets real excited about ST, lol. Can't wait for the season to start though, the Sox are lookin decent this year I think!

Baseball season is upon us! Woo! Who else gets a little excited when pitchers and catchers have their first practice? Oh!!.. I DO!!... I love the start of spring traing..... and listening to the spring training games on the XM while at work. I think Opening Day needs to be a national holiday! It is one of the best days of the entire year.... Yes it does! I just listening to the Phillies pitchers press conference and I can't wait to get this season rolling! I am now excited for my Dad to get home from Florida so we can divvy up the season tickets. Even that is a fun day, he spreads all the tickets out on the table and I get to pick what games I want. It's like a lottery where every chance is a winner! |

You have season tickets? ::drool:: awesome! Jealous! Well, Dad does. BF and I get to pick 6 games a season as our Christmas present. We've been doing this three years now and I love it. Best present ever, in my opinion. ;D I have my eye on the Red Sox/Phils business person special (it's a mid-week 1 pm game), so I'm hoping I can get those! I would LOVE to leave work for a baseball game! |

Nice! I managed somehow to get tix to a Sox/Phils game down there 5 or 6 years ago, but I got unbelievably sick and had to cancel the trip  My dad, who's from Philly, ended up mailing the tix to a cousin of his so they didn't get wasted. They weren't great or anything. I'd like to try again sometime! |

Truck day was Feb 8. ;D It was actually on the news. It's the day the Red Sox equipment gets loaded up for the trip to Florida. Do other team's fans celebrate such auspicious occasions? Spring training give me goose bumps. Having tickets to a Red Sox game is actually a valid excuse to take the day off work.  |

Last year I won the lottery to get Yankees *and* Green Monster tickets. We went to a lot of games last year!

Anyone going to FL for spring training?? I go every year and am counting down the days....18, but, who's counting??!! I actually have 2 extra tickets to Yankees vs. Pirates on 3/9. I bought them before I booked my flights and have to fly home that day. If anyone knows anyone looking for tickets, feel free to PM me!
I think it's hysterical that I see more Yankee games in FL (usually go down for at least one of the Tampa series) than I see them in NY and I live 3 hours from Yankee Stadium! Oh well, it's a tradition now and always look forward to it!!

We went to Clearwater a couple of times when I was a kid and I'm dying to get back. One of these years...
My Dad has a house in Florida and makes the two hour drive to Clearwater to catch some Phillies games.
I love hockey and soccer, but man... baseball just brings so much happiness to me! We're going to Cooperstown in September to celebrate my 30th. I haven't been to the HOF since high school and BF has never been, so we definitely can't wait!

Got the email this morning - won the lottery to buy Red Sox/Yankees tickets! Woohoo! Last year I got to get Yankees tix and Green Monster tix, guess the baseball fates like me  going to try to get tix to the home opener vs the Yankees in April! |
