DH's double nickel is November 7. We are considering going to FL including the Everglades and Key West. We're looking at some places on VRBO. It would just be the two of us and possibly DH's aunt.
Any comments or recommendations?
Many thanks for your help,
Bonny

LOL! I thought this was a thread about Kimye's baby! And, i was going to say that Key West was much to clever for them to have thought of!

I had to look up double nickel. I don't know squat about the Keys.

Double-nickle means he's turning the big 55.
And Shooby, THAT would have been perfect "K" name for Kim's baby.

I had to look up double nickel. I don't know squat about the Keys. That's because you're not an O.F. (Old Fart) ....yet!

I like The Galleon in Key West. Or are you thinking Marathon or islamorada?

I like The Galleon in Key West. Or are you thinking Marathon or islamorada? Key West. Thinking about renting a little cottage for a couple of days. Need to work out logistics between Key West, Everglades & Ft. Lauderdale/Plantation.

I have been researching going to Key West also. I haven't checked to see if you can fly directly into Key West or have to take a smaller plane to get there. I was there a couple times when I lived in Florida. I loved driving from Miami over all the water to Key West. I mainly started looking into the prices of places to stay first.

You have to take smaller plane. Usually from Miami but other airports can do it.

By the way, Shooby, I stole your observation here and told a few people that I think that Kimye should have named Nori "Key" and I got big laughs - huge! And everyone thinks I'm super clever. I did not credit you. I'm a hack comedian.

And any recommendations about which part of the Everglades to visit? DH says there are several entrances. Although to be frank, think about either flying in or out of SFO doesn't sound like a great idea. DH flew out at 11:00 am today so just missed the crash.
