So, since we were going to TX, I was looking on the internet for the JFK assassination info. Under Google, you could find pics of the autopsy. I clicked on, (yes I was curious) and there were pics of him laying on the table. Now, in 1963, who would have thought to take those pics and where have they been all of this time?
So I proceeded to scroll through and there were pics of JFK Jr. in the place wreckage. If they were photoshopped, someone did a VERY good job and people no longer need to pay models for commercials or magazine covers. So maybe yes there had to be documentation of when they found the plane and the 3 people inside. But how many investigators/photographers were there and if those pics were leaked/sold/whatever, shouldn't someone be in BIG TROUBLE?

I think it's just best to operate under the assumption that any pictures or videos you take and anything put into writing in electronic form (email, text, etc) can be found by someone, somewhere, at any time. There are too many ways those pictures could have been leaked out.

Since coroner photos would be governmental records, I suspect that they are available to the public under the Freedom of Information Act.
