Salsa....sweety.....I'm here......no alone sad face Did this deal at CVS yesterday....reminds me a little of the "old days". They were out of the $6.99 Venus single disposable razors.....but for some reason the girl at the register said that she'd let me substitute the Venus Breeze(2 cartridges, $11.99) and price it at the $6.99! Wholly Moley Cannoli! ( Mama said: "Sure nuff and stealithly looked over my shoulder for the store manager....no where in sight.) I had two of the $5/1 Venus MCs. (2) Venus Breeze prices at $6.99/1 $13.98 (1) Zest multipak soap $ 2.99 (1) NYC eye shadow $2.99 $21.57 with tax - (2) $5/1 Venus - $1/1 NYC eyeshadow CRT -$4/$12 cosmetics CRT -$4/$20 CRT -$1 Zest MC Total = $ 1.28(cleared with CVS GC) = $0 OOP => $4 ECB for Venus Now that's what I'm talking about!

Thank goodness for stockpiles. Been spending most of my time at the hospital. We think they will let my dad out by Thursday. Still haven't decided if he wants to do hospice care or try chemo and radiation to buy him some time. Been living off my stockpile for a month now.

I hit CVS today to try the Venus deal but they were out of the cheapest ones, and mine aren't 6.99, they are 7.99. So I was annoyed with that.
I did pick up 2 of the Colgate toothpaste and 2 Head and Shoulder's shampoo
Toothpaste: 2.99 x 2 = 5.98 Head and Shoulders: 4.99 x2 = 9.98
-$5.00 Head and Shoulders -$1/2 Colgate (I didn't get a $2/2!) -$2 off $8 dental care purchase CRT -$2 off $10 shampoo purchase CRT -$5 ECBS
Paid $1.02 OOP and got back a $4 ECB. The $5 ECB was expiring so I needed to use it up and just made this deal up on the fly, so I'm pretty happy with it.

Monica, The $2/2 Colgate q was a printable. Not sure if it's still available or not. I went to three stores Monday before I found the cheaper Venus razor in stock. Stores #1 and 2 had it 6.99 but store 3 had it 7.29. Then of course was a fiasco at the register cuz I'd pulled the wrong Q. I had the $5 web razor AND refills. Didn't even read it. So, had to leave it, go to the car and find the right one, go back in, blah, blah, blah. I'm so out of the couponing groove. I had $10 Ups from the Home Improvement card deal that was expiring today. I basically just blew it yesterday cuz there wasn't anything I really wanted or needed there this week. Then I get up this morning and my coffee maker was dead Figures, I could've bought a cheap one at RA. Just my luck...

Finally a good deal on something I want/need:
YIPEEE!!! I’m actually excited about an item on special at Safeway this week. The Jennie O turkey burgers (3 lb) are on Fri special for $5/box AND I have a $1/box coupon (FYI: it is an IP on coupons.com. I have been out of these for about 2 months and really do like them. I was pay $5.50 at Aldi for their Fit & Active ones. All my bloggers are talking about how cheap the Jennie O hot dogs are after the coupon but I MUCH prefer the burgers.

rubyslippers -- I stopped by there last week to see if they had and and the shelf was cleared. however tonight I stopped at Family Dollar to grab a greeting card and the single Venus razors were on sale for $5.25 so only .25 after the $5/1 coupon. I bought the last 3 at my store.

Hellooooooo? Echo, echo, echo..... Is anyone still here? I'm so alone! I'm trying to check in a couple times a week, but there just isn't a lot for me to post about these days. On Tuesday, I found out about a Lays Kettle Cooked chips deal at Safeway at the last minute and ran out and bought them for $.75/bag. If I had posted it, I doubt that anyone would have run out to get it at that point in time. I also scored (10) cans of Van Kamp pork & beans for free at WAGs using one of my $5RR from the Splenda deal a few weeks ago. We bought a huge seedless watermelon at the 99 cent store last week for $1 that was incredible.

Yep, we used to be able to do these kinds of deals and even better MMs all day long at CVS. From what I've read, CVS is really cracking down on the stacking, so it's good to know there is some out there that still works. The last time I stepped foot in a CVS was in mid May to use my final $2 GBT EBs. I still have over $200 in GCs to use and I will eventually use them when we need some OTC med in a pinch or there is a great sale on a food item. I also have a very thick stack of rain checks that can be redeemed at some point. I don't even remember what they are for, but they never expire so when we run out of a pantry staple that I used to get at CVS all the time, I'm sure that I'll dig into them.

In the past, if all failed, I went for TP, PT, or laundry detergent; but I am well-stocked on all those products. I decided to try the Zquil. It wasn't even on sale @ $15.29 for 48 tablets, but I did have a $1/1 coupon!!

I didn't get the $5 Venus q because DH did not save inserts while I was away. Oh well....I did have a Buy ProGlide razor, get Venus razor free q that P&G sent out of the blue a few months ago. I kept waiting to use it for a good deal--expiration date of 6/30. I broke down because Proglide is my DH's fave razor. I paid $7.61 total and got the $4EB back. Guess I'm living in the real world now where $7.61 for two quality razors isn't too bad. I turned around with my $4EB and bought: 2 boxes Raisin Bran crunch cereal $5.00 2 P.butter m&Ms: $2.38 (I'm officially an addict) 1 12 pack diet coke: $2.88 1 pkg. Nature Valley dark choc/peanut/almond granola bars: $1.99
Minus: $1/2 Raisin Bran cereals q .50 M&M q .50 NV q (6/23 SS) .50 NV CRT (red machine) Free 12 pack coke product q (My Coke Rewards) $4.99 .50 25% CVS CRT
Total OOP: .75
So, in reality for $8.36 OOP I got two razors and all of the above. It was good to see that the $4.99 automatically came off for the coke--that gave me some overage to work with. I wouldn't have used the coke q but it, too, was expiring on 6/30.
I also went to the .99 store and bought: 2 Hallmark thank you/note cards, 1 cantalope, organic baby romaine, large gift bag, diet snapple lemon tea packets, whole grain Saltine crackers, pretzels, 8 bananas: Total OOP: $10.26. The Hallmark cards alone were originally $4.49 each and are really cute. I'd used all my cards--rather DDs did in thanking folks for grad gifts.

I don't know if my prior post went haywire or not.
If any of you are on Facebook, you can see a photo of me with the girls on our bike tour: Fat Tire Bike Tours Paris. We're the group with our guide, Adrien, with our fists in the air (Dominate!). Their sign is also in the pic.
Good times!

I went to a couple of Dollar Generals and paid $3.69 for 6 Head & Shoulders, 6 Venus razors, 1 can baked beans and 1 jar of pimentos. I saved $45.00 using 3 $5/2 H&S MQs and 6 $5.00 Venus MQ's.
MonicaLee, our Family Dollar didn't have any of the Venus in stock. I still have $10.00 in catalinas that I will be using there soon.
I saved $82.00 on a Shark Navigator sweeper using my swagbucks on Amazon. I was going to try waiting until the end of the year, but my old sweeper crapped out. So far, I love this sweeper!
Kroger fuel points saved me $29.45 in gasoline this week.

The price is 3/15 and it says pay $8 after coupon, so that would make sense. $15-7 ($7/3 Q) is $8.

Yes, I got my ad today and after the $7/3 coupon there is a $3 ECB, so they say "it's like getting it 3/$5!"
Not sure if I'll do this deal or not ... I do have some ECBs to use but I don't want to trade $8 ECB for $3 ECB. Hopefully there will be a CRT to go along with it!

hope The Venus is on sale again the week of 7/7 at CVS. I have a raincheck on this week's deal & will see which is better then.
How NOT to attract a customer: Got my FREE Culvers sundae for my bday on Sat. Boy do they skimp on the freebie, no nuts, no cherry. Does NOT make me want to come back and see if their other items match the pictures in their promo materials. By cheaping out by about 0.10 they lost a customer permanently as this is a place (like Taco Bell, McD, BK, Dunkin, Arby, Wendy……) I pass several times/week.
Glad I leanred this w/no OOP.

LOL!! The very thing that I bought at RA with my UPs is going to be on sale at CVS this week. I guess that's what happens when you no longer look at the ad previews. The strange thing is that it doesn't seem to really bother me.

I don't have much room for a stockpile like you do (or the stamina some of you have) so I'm just picking up things here and there. I'm looking forward to the Z-quil deal. DH liked it when it first came out and they were giving it away. Is it sad that the deals are so minimal that I'm actually looking forward to Black Friday already
