I am torn between the following China Sunergy Co. ltd, ticker, CSUN, nasdaq, short it. North American Energy Partners Inc, ticker, NOA, long position. I like this one, just not enough of a pop to win. Dollar General, ticker, DG, short or long....very little volume today, surprisingly, with quarterly announcement coming early next week, but close to a yearly high. Right now, I will go with CSUN, and short it for the week. Mod, any thoughts on this one?  Mod, wait until after Monday's opening before responding. |

VB, be very careful if you think of following my picks in R.L. Sometimes I'm WAY off. If you are thinking about buying NUGT...wait for it to go down again...it has been in the $8-$9 range recently. But do your own DD!

Will roll the dice with CMFO (long) for this week. China Marine Food.
Really not much to go on here, other than last quarter indicated a rebounding business atmosphere. They are growing, albeit, slowly.

Value Buy >>> CSUN is a solar power panel company and therefore is subject to the whims of government support throughout the world. Solar seems to be "in" or "out" of favor along with economies. Without government subsidies, not many companies invest, even though solar is getting slowly more efficient. No doubt, the world desperately needs "CLEAN ENERGY", but the old established energy companies will fight to slow it down.
The way things are, just do not believe strong progress can be made. Competition exists everywhere although CSUN has established itself in various parts of the world. Profitability is a question. No doubt they can be very price competitive, but where is there any high demand.
Perhaps over coming years they will continue to grow and prosper, especially if in some way they can discover and produce a "better mousetrap" with more powerful and efficient panels that can compete in price with other types of power source.
For now, I will pass. Younger, long term holders may be rewarded, I do not have very much time at 90 years of age.
