I have about 14000 in saving that I hope to use for school next year. I mean I hope to get into grad school. Right now I have some in my savings with my bank, US bank, and the best rate they can give me is very little. The rest in in an ING account which is also earning just a little more then nothing Is there any other short term place anyone can suggest that I can safely put my savings into? Thanks

www.bankrate.com .... You'll want to check the best rates for interest-paying checking accounts, savings accounts, and money market accounts. I suppose you could also check out short-term CDs (keeping in mind when you'll need the money, of course)

Have you looked into any short term CDs? That might be your best bet.
