I haven't heard from her brother today.
she does have many well-wishers, however, from many different boards.. i may email him myself to pass the thoughts on..
I'm Back AND THE BIG NEWS IS.....I DO NOT HAVE ANY LUNG CANCER SEEN IN THE PRELIMINARY FIRST STUDIES. It's all inflammation as far as they can see from childhood & adult infections. Now there might be one or two cells, but as far as the Doctor is concerned I do not have lung cancer.
They took 5% of my lung. I'm bruised and okay with pain, I never got beyond a one. The Leads are still in so at a later date they will have to come out.
NAMASTE & THANKS EVERYONE.

Just got back from the radiation Dr and I'll have a couple of weeks off chemo and all treatment. The radiation/chemo combo will start June 25.
Have an appt with chemo Dr Thursday to get everything set.
Apprehensive emotions. I'm trying to understand everything but at times I feel like I'm along for the ride.

Had chemo treatment #8 a couple of weeks ago and the farther away from it I get, the better I feel. Three days this week I've taken a mile walk around the local park at 6am. First walk I took a cane and used it for balance. That mile took an hour.
Last couple of days I took the cane with me but didn't use it ...... and was able to get around the park in 30 milutes. My legs are feeling a lot better.
I'll start radiation in a couple of weeks and hoping my reactions will be close to zero.
Just had to share my getting stronger news.
Thanks.
GG .... how is DH doing?
Sugi ..... are you healing from surgery OK?

How's everyone doing? For those of you still undergoing treatment, or whose loved ones are, I hope the side effects are minimal.

sesfw and sugi You've been in my thoughts.... Sugi I'm so happy to hear things went well and you seem to having a good recovery. sesfw, So glad you are getting stronger....
DH has been amazing this week (week 3 after completing radiation). His energy is back. We spent yesterday working on a long postponed deck project.
He has follow up appts next week with his dermatologist, surgeon and radiation oncologist. Then a follow up PET scan late August. Hopefully it will be clean and he can then deal with the PC.

My dad had an endoscopy done two weeks ago. The found he has Esophagus cancer. Waiting for his insurance to OK his CT scan to see what is going on. We will go from there. Just makes me mad that we have to wait 3 to 5 more days before the CT scan can even be done. The hardest part is seeing him so weak. He gets dizzy and runs out of breath just to get dressed. He's tired all the time. Oh, and they think he has an internal bleed somewhere in is body as well. Just trying to stay strong for both of my parents right now.
