Half.com
Seriously, why is the college bookstore charging so much?
From what I had explained to me it's something to do with contracts with the publisher. The bookstore does not get to set the price.
Publishers are getting smarter by including disks/passcodes and other things you can't obtain with a used version of the book.
It's all about making the publishers and printers money.

I'm taking a MS Access class and the college bookstore sells the book I need for $180. It's also available on half.com for $33. Which one should I choose? Seriously, why is the college bookstore charging so much? How long before everybody realizes NEVER shop there? Because the students can use their financial aid at the college bookstore. At least that's why I assume they do it here. Also, some instructors have special version of the materials that are only available at the bookstore.

I hate it when professors make you buy a paper copy of their power point presentation/lecture notes. REALLY?! I have to spend $60 on this when you could just mass CC everyone the presentation and I can print it off for free from my computer?

At least I can sell the textbook pack for pocket change. I'm stuck with the giant pile of papers containing his powerpoint presentation.
