Last week I put up a thread about adding satellite radio to my old car. Now I'm wondering if I should do an internet radio instead. It appears that most of them just use your smart phone to get online, and then blue tooth to play through the speakers.
Anyone know anything about Pandora in your car?

If you have an iphone, the Pandora app is free and you just need to set up a docking station for the iphone in your car - cheaper than satellite radio

My car has a built in thing for my phone. I have a cord that I plug my phone into and turn it on to the Pandora station of my choosing. Works out perfect. I've had satellite radio before and I like the Pandora better. Because I listen to it all day long at work I do the annual membership for like $35 or whatever it is. Without the membership you get 40 hours free a month but have to listen to commercials. Or at least that's how it used to be- I've been paying the $35 annual fee for a couple of years now.

My new car came with blue tooth and at first I thought I had no use for it, but now I love it! I play pandora on my 50 minute commute to and from work. I want to load some audio books onto my phone as well, it will make my drive go so much faster.

I use Pandora in my van. The stereo has an aux. jack and I just plug my phone in. Works great and it's free. To answer the data question, I have unlimited data plan from Sprint.

I don't have an iPhone. I would be more likely to get a droid. Right now, I only have a blackberry, so I would wait until I upgrade my phone.

DH streams Pandora in his car and all over the place. He uses blue tooth. His plan is 2 GB a month and he never goes over.

I was grandfathered in under the unlimited data plan from Verizon. Looking at my usage I never get close to going over 2 GB.

It was actually more of a jar than a box. Evil in a jar.
