Just looked at the local freebie paper and there is an ad for a Furnished Room for rent. Corporate only! Near two major highways, includes cleaning service, use of facilities(bathroom?), kitchen, internet, cable, and utilities. $900/mo.
Any interesting ads you've seen?

So what about this ad was interesting or made you go "hmmmm"? (honest question, i'm assuming you think it's either vastly under or over priced, but I'm not sure which.)

The highish price plus the corporate only tag. Perhaps I misread their intentions but to me it implied they wanted a corporation to pay for it versus the usual professional desired that I usually see in ads like this.
The corporate only caught my eye. Somewhat common to have in some apartment complexes but I've not seen it done for furnished rooms.

It sounds like they are advertising to corporations as an alternative to putting out of towners up in a hotel.

Swamp, Later I hadn't thought of that. The nicer apartment complexes I've lived in have had fully furnished apartments set aside for corporate use. Those probably were month to month but the folks sometimes stayed a year or two. I guess I've learned something new! ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/shocked.gif)

Chiver, my guess is it is a well-located private home with a room they want to rent I guess short term to corporations. I haven't seen that in ads before. I've seen furnished rooms advertised where they preferred professionals who only needed them M-F and other stuff but the word corporate surprised me.
