I don't know if I agree with her assessment, but it's refreshing to see someone in politics praise a member of hte other party.

Agree it's refreshing. And whether she's right on this issue or not, I think it's a good reminder of what most of us probably already know, in politics it's often far more about what you say and how you say it than it is what you do, which is kind of sad. And probably pushes a lot of people who would be really good at getting things done into other areas because they don't want to play the rhetoric game.

I often reference Bush and Katrina as a metaphor for how awesome it is to be in a position to take "total responsibility" for a "complete failure" and suffer no consequences whatsoever.
Watching him give that speech was like watching a kid in trouble tell his parents what they wanted to hear so that he avoided a spanking. "It was wrong to put a spider on my sister. I won't do it again. I've learned my lesson, I'm so sorry, I feel really bad..."
