Do you share personal videos with friends?
My friend just sent (via text) a video of her kid going to school. He is talking about something - but nothing interesting. And it isn't like school is new to him or anything. He isn't talking about my kids or anything. I know she thinks he is the cutest kid on the earth - but does she really think I give a shit?
Is this a thing?

It is something that white people love to do.

I'm white - and I don't do it. I bet you don't like picking your own fruit, either. You are borderline white.

Picking my own fruit? I must have missed a loony thread or something? It is another thing that white people love. Also on that list is black music that black people don't listen to anymore. I have a feeling you are white on that one.

My son posts videos like this all the time on Facebook. We can share every moment of teething, shopping at Walmart, or brother hitting brother. We also get pictures of their food when they eat in restaurants.
I wonder if my grandchildren's generation will be scarred by how much information is out there about them. There is zero privacy in their lives, if you think about it.

I just received a video from a friend of her two kids. But she does have the cutest kids EVER! I love getting them when it's something adorable like the one I received. The baby was laughing at big sis's antics and it made me laugh too just watching them playing. A child's laughter is so contagious! What's not to love about that?
I don't have kids so maybe that's why I enjoy them so much. I don't see stuff like that every day and I deactivated my FB account some time ago.

I had to send her back a message saying it was cute. Now I will probably get a bunch of them. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/confused.png)

LOL! Just keep saying they are cute. You don't have to actually watch them if they all are boring. Just don't get busted. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/wink.png)

Luckily, it was short. I see the kid about 4 times a week - so it isn't like I'm jonesing to see how he is progressing. The other day, he came over and made me watch him dance. I'm not really a kid person.

kgb, ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/heart.png) I tried to like your post but V5 won't let me. And when I saw your "like" in my notifications it said "kgb liked your post on Blank Thread". I see that their improvements last night worked really well. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/tongue2.png)

I don't mind the occassional video but I don't need to see the same 16 month old dancing to the Wii Dance game 3 times a week.
I'm over the whole "group text" thing. So annoying. My sister will post a pic on fb and then group text the same pic out to half a dozen people. So every time someone respondes then I get those texts too. The other day I got 17 texts in 5 minutes because my nephew fell off his chair at school so DSis rushed him to the ER (for a minor black eye). So she sends out a "OMG Look what happened to T" and then came the flood of "OH no is he ok?" texts. So freaking annoying. Anytime I see that it's a group text I turn to volume off on my phone so I don't have to hear it beep every time there is a response.

Parents trying to get everyone and their mothers to pay attention to their stupid kids doing stupid things has always, and will always be, a thing.

I get the group texts too...usually having to do with a lunch a bunch of us have every so often. I don't have some of the girls numbers who are in the lunch group so I get responses from 555-5555 and I have no idea who is saying what. I regularly text with the group text sender, so I have to be careful to just respond to just her number or I'm going to advertise things I don't necessarily want everyone else to know.
