... EVT's post is indicative of the ignorance floating around, along the lines of the White House suggesting the Boston Marathon bombings were the work of right wing groups protesting against taxes on April 15. ... Do you have a link supporting that "the White House" did this?

I, too, would be interested in any viable source stating the White House blamed right wing groups for the bombings in Boston, Savoir Faire. The "informed and intelligent" seek verified information, not babbling without backup.

The "informed and intelligent" seek verified information, not babbling without backup. What alarms me is that even as late as yesterday there was a lot of "blame America first" talk in the media amid the White House STILL saying they weren't willing to pin it on islamic extremism. WE KNOW it was islamic extremism that motivated the attack. It's frightening to see this administration wallow in willful ignorance of this fact, to downplay it, to be so consumed with political correctness that they aren't willing to admit the obvious.

Anyway, it appears this explosion was set off by static electricity generated during the cleaning process to prepare the vessel to take on fuel.

That hasn't been confirmed so *I* think its wise not to say so. Terrorism should have a purpose at the very least and people who claim it if its not obvious. 9/11 was obviously a strike at the US financial markets and the federal government. The strike against the Boston Marathon is what? A strike at indecent clothed runners? A new hate of Marathons?
If the younger brother ever communicates perhaps we will know more but even the Chechen radicals admit the US is not the issue.

... if yesterday’s Boston Marathon attack is blamed on Barack Obama’s political opposition, ... (emphasis added) Quote from the first paragraph of the first link. ...Esquire’s Charles P. Pierce cautioned readers against “jumping to conclusions” and blaming the attack on “foreign terrorism.”
However, he was compelled to remind people that Monday is the “official Patriots Day holiday” in Massachusetts, ...(emphasis added) Quote from the first and second paragraph of the second link. So I ask again for a link to "the White House".

... A simple goolge search turns up hundreds of links. Cool, so it should be easy for you to give us one that supports your claim of "the White House suggesting the Boston Marathon bombings were the work of right wing groups protesting against taxes on April 15."

Where in any of this babble, Savoir Faire, is there anything to back up your claim ..."White House suggesting the Boston Marathon bombings were the work of right wing groups protesting against taxes on April 15."? I see nothing to support that. Nothing, at all.

You have to read between the lines:
"We still do (the) not know (Tea) who did this (Party) or why. And (did) people shouldn’t jump to (it) conclusions before we have all the facts."

Here is a link fo a news report from NBC News: usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/04/25/17904474-barges-carrying-raw-gasoline-explode-near-mobile-alabama-3-injuredEVT's post is indicative of the ignorance floating around, along the lines of the White House suggesting the Boston Marathon bombings were the work of right wing groups protesting against taxes on April 15. i don't remember anyone here saying it WAS any such group. what i do recall is several people saying that they believed it was an act of domestic terror, which, i believe, from what we know today, was correct. That is why the informed and intelligent ignor (sic) such posts. uh huh.....right.

... Obama advisor David Axelrod says: Within hours of the explosion, the Administration-worshiping networks were full of unfounded speculation that right wing extremists (i.e. the tea party) were to blame. Obama adviser David Axelrod encouraged them by speculating that this could have been a “tax day” protest. Others publicly hoped that the perpetrators would be found to be white non-Muslims. www.newbernsj.com/opinion/letters/letter-bombing-fallout-1.130473No, "Obama advisor (sic) David Axelrod (is not the one that) says: ..." The person saying that is: Letter: Bombing fallout By Jim Senner, New Bern Published: Monday, April 22, 2013 at 11:34 AM. It is a Letter to the Editor of the Sun Journal in New Bern, North Carolina. Come on SF, give us the link to "the White House suggesting ...".

Lame excuse, Savoir Faire, for not being able to back up your claim.

Usually shit will not explode if you are following adequate safety practices. And there was a question mark after that statement making a point you missed. But is there really a need to point out the numerous explosions that occur because of weak corporate safety rules? It is kind of a given.
