When you go an event where you have tickets - like a sporting event, or the theater, etc, and you are with your spouse, do you each hold your own ticket, or does one person hold both tickets? What if it is a friend - does it change?

I've never really thought about it. I guess in most cases, whether it's with DH or a friend, whoever purchases the tickets holds on to them until we're going into the venue, and then we each take our own ticket.

My wife and I - either one of us hold both tickets. Friends or other couples - each friend or couple hold their own tickets.

I tend to be the one to organize things and do the ticket ordering. So I buy, hold onto the tickets, and give everyone theirs when we're walking in.

I hand everyone their own as we go in, they give them and then hand them back to me... Or I just handle them all. I'm the one who puts them in the scrapbooks/portfolios after, so...

Last couple of events we went to, TD picked up the tickets at the box office the first time, and I picked them up the second time. Whomever picked up the tickets held the tickets when we went into the event.

We each hold our own in case we get separated. It can happen.

This is what we do too in case we get separated in the crowd or leave to use the bathroom, etc.

We each hold our own to get back into wherever we are sitting. The last few years, every time I have gone to MSG we sit in a suite (donated tickets, I would never pay those prices.) But we still go down to the concourse to buy food. We were at the Barclays Center last weekend, and the ushers were checking tickets well into the event. It was the Jordan Classic all-star game, followed by a Drake concert, so there were lots of people trying to sneak down.

I just bought tickets to a Kid Rock concert (LOVE him!). I didn't actually "get" tickets. I have to take the printout that I got, along with the credit card that I used to purchase the tickets and my drivers license with me to get in. If I bought 6 tickets, everyone would have to be with me to get in. I think it is crazy but I love Kid Rock so I'm goign along with it.
Typically if dh and I are going somewhere, I'm usually the one ordering and gettign the tickets so I keep the tickets. Wiht friends, I normally give them their tickets when I get them so if something happens and I can't go that they aren't scrambling the day of the event. Which makes me wonder what would happen if I got sick and couldn't go to the Kid Rock concert...

DH and BIL went to Atlanta for the NCAAs. They used their credit card to be swiped at the gate for entry as it identified how the ticket was purchased.

I feel uneasy unless I am holding my own ticket. Especially if there is a crowd of people pushing around each other trying to jockey for position.
