OK, I just found his pic on-line and he looks sooooo different than I ever pictured him. Ruhk, I never saw the thread on single mothers and his opinion on it. I think he gets a lot more insults that he gives. In a flower-shop thread someone compared him to a goat. I know it's not exactly calling someone a name, but pretty close to it, and yet mods didn't blink an eye Did you, perchance, report the post? Moderators can't read every post, believe it, or not.

It's freaking me out a little to know what Paul looks like.
He's supposed to have a mustache. In my head, there is definitely a mustache.

I am curious. How many of you would post pictures of you and your spouse on these boards?

Personally, I like to argue. And sometimes its easier to go to PM and hash it out with online yoohoos than threaten iRL relationships. I'd guess Paul has a high, I needs to argue threshold... ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/smiley.png) ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/yeahthat.gif) I like to argue. I can dish it out, I can take it, and I can even admit it when I'm wrong- which is very, very rare- but it does happen. Even to me. I enjoy a good verbal sparing- and yes, verbal is the right word, because verbal can be in writing or spoken. However, and maybe I'm just getting old, I think that the lack of a conscious thought in any discussion- and instead the constant firing back and forth talking points, is boring. I have lost patience, too, with the raw, unadulterated ignorance of the actual issue, the willful ignoring of the issue for the sidebar, the distraction, the avoidance of anything of substance to avoid losing political points. AND, with respect to one story in particular- the Kermit Gosnell story- I was at least encouraged to see several prominent liberals now coming forward and admitting that there's a conscious media blackout of the story, and they object to it. I agree. BTW- I didn't like it when the Bush administration prevented coverage of the war dead returning home. I know the left wanted to use flag draped coffins as propaganda- but the First Amendment is kind of the deal in this country, and if you can't defend your decisions against the political "optics" get a new job. I'm just bored with the lack of thought, and the utter denial by some of the facts. I mean, what's to discuss when you can't agree that the sky is blue or that objects on earth in a vacuum fall at a rate of 32 feet per second squared? (The AGW hoax, for example- it's over. I'm actually embarrassed for people that can't or won't accept this fact.) And I've lost patience with a lot of political discussion because it's not a discussion anymore. Tonight President Obama said that several weeks ago, in the wake of the tragedy at Newtown, CT, America took on the challenge of reducing gun violence- referring to the failed Senate legislation today. No, actually the country doesn't give a shit about gun control. A grand total of 4% of voters favor gun control AND think it's "and important issue". But do these people care? No. And just because he said the word "common sense" once for every one of the $6 trillion in new debt he's run up doesn't make it "common sense". And this is just the kind of example of the lack of discussion and discourse- the talking AT people, instead of with them that defines political discussion today. Obama and the Democrats are wrong on the issue. The Constitution and a whole bunch of gun owners stood as a big enough threat to enough of our elected officials, that there weren't enough of them to pass legislation that undermines our rights. That's anything but a shameful day in America- which is Obama's description of it. No, a shameful day in America is when basically two bombs go off killing innocent civilians in one of our largest cities during one of our countries cultural institutions- IEDs featured in an islamist instruction manual, and of the type used by the failed Times Square bomber and other IEDs used by islamist around the world, and we still don't know who did it- but the writers at Salon sure hope it's a white guy because if it's not, it might derail the whole left wing political agenda. It's a shameful day in America when the President and his administration following a terrorist attack on US soil have so little credibility because they burned it lying about Benghazi with the awkard, and silly lie about the video being the impetus and it being a spontaneous attack because if they admitted our embassy was assaulted in a carefully planned, coordinated al-qaeda led attack by jihadists, it would threaten little Barry's re-election. And it's a shameful day in America, when no matter what, you can't get a Democrat to have the slightest bit of shame over this because the liberal agenda takes precedent over right, wrong, and the truth. Being bored of P&M is no excuse to post factually incorrect political rants here. Please provide a disclaimer at the beginning of these tirades so we can get our tinfoil hats on, we don't keep them on full-time here.

Paul is some kind of insurance salesman, adjuster, etc...anyway, he is in the insurance business. Those people seem to have way too much time on their hands. They sit on their ass all day long waiting to take a call.
This may be his little outlet, to "speak his mind" in a world which shuts him down and doesn't value him as much as he thinks he is worth.
Having said that, I find Paul unintentionally humorous. I'm sure he is your run of the mill Joe Schmo, and this is about the highest level of notoriety he is ever likely to get.
I like his paranoia...it is entertaining. LOL
Long may you run Pauly ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/grin.png)

Long may you run Pauly ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/grin.png) Who has notoriety in today's society? Actors, politicians, some religious leaders, a few major CEOs and billionaires, notable criminals, a handful of media figures and pundits, a few physicists, scientists, and futurists. And most of the aforementioned don't enjoy favourable notoriety. For the other 99.99% of the world, I'd say notoriety on a board this size isn't too shabby. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/wink.png)

Paul is no wall flower, I am pretty sure if it bothered him, he would have said something to mods. And I wasn't "complaining", simply pointed it out that he gets insulted plenty, but I haven't noticed him doing many insults

What you were complaining about was "the mods" not having done anything about something you thought was an insult to paul, lena. If we don't see it, we can't do anything about it, can we? We are not all-seeing, and we will never be all-seeing. Unless you're willing to report something you feel is wrong, don't whine later because "the mods" didn't do anything about it.

Look mmmm I know you are a moderator, but seriously, I can't talk to you. I am telling you I wasn't complaining, you are telling me I was. Fine, whatever. You think I am whining. Fine, whatever.
YOU were on that thread, posting, posting posting. If you post without reading other posts, fine, whatever.
Like I said, from our previous exchanges, I learned one thing - I have no idea how to talk to you, so I am choosing not to

I can miss posts, as can all moderators. We can't read every word of every post, lena. It's just not possible. I may post in answer to a post I see without reading every post on the thread. I can't play in one or two posts/threads, and neither can other moderators. We're responsible for the whole board, not just wherever we happen to like to be. What I'm saying is this: If you feel something is wrong, or against the CoC, or insulting to another poster, Report it. It doesn't really matter if an insult is made against you, or someone else. There's certainly nothing wrong about reporting said insult. Looking out for one another is a good thing, not a bad thing.

You fail to realize why your government is involving itself in these conflicts since 2003. If you think it has anything to do with policing the world and preventing terrorism, you'd be roughly 1/2 of 1% correct. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/undecided.png) And if you're going to say oil- which we've gotten NONE out of it, and which we could stop sitting on our hands and DRILL for here-- you'd be zero percent correct.

Did I miss the sources in your post? I don't remember seeing any. Misstates the source - 4% of voters said gun control was THE MOST IMPORTANT issue. I've seen polls ranging from 40 to 85% who favor gun control and think it's important. A pretty large range, not even enough to say that "most" Americans favor it, but certainly more than 4%. And at this point it's looking unlikely that al-Qaeda was responsible for the Boston attacks. They were brothers from Chechnya, and legal US residents for the past 10 years. usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/04/19/17823265-boston-on-lockdown-during-marathon-manhunt-for-white-hat-suspect?lite
