I thought Liv Tylor was Galadriel? Or was it Cate Blanchet?

I really liked LOTR. Before even watching The Hobbit, I didn't expect it to even match LOTR. The Hobbit was drawn out a little bit. Some of the scenes were long and they added some things to it; which is how they're stretching it to 3 movies. Peter Jackson stated he was going to use some of the material in the Appendix and such. The whole troll scene was added for the movie as an example. I expect the second one to be better than the first, though.

Someone told me a bunch of other books were going to play into the second and third movies. I"m not sure what other books there are. I only read an article leading up to the Hobbit stating that Peter Jackson was using the Appendix or something to get other material. Maybe there is some other book or books out there. I've never read the books so IDK.

I think it was The Silmarillion and some others. My sci fi dork coworker told me they were going to have lots of "Easter eggs".
