Can I deduct business start up expenses and if so how much on Form 8829?

Office in the home is reported on 8829, not business start up costs. Office in the home is limited to the allocation of home costs, including depreciation of an owned home, of the area regularly and exclusively used for the business and the profit of the business. Ant unused amount is carried forward.
