My boss "accidentally" deleted all my vacation time and "doesn't know how" to get it all back. Um, figure it out. And quickly, please. I don't get that much as it is.

Well, if he doesn't figure it out and it is HIS mistake, you should get to start over with all your days

I don't get that much as it is. <rant over> Does boss know that he deleted the days? Does the boss know how many days you have left? Just because they have been deleted electronically, has no bearing on whether you can actually take a vacation day...

We don't really keep track of them in my office. My boss has a general idea, but I have to sometimes update her. Like you I don't have that many, so it's easy for me to keep track myself.
I'm going to guess that you have some pretty complex scenarios that won't allow you to simply track what you've taken Jan 1st to current.
i.e. like carryover days or a weird fiscal calendar

Wouldn't this have started afresh in 2011? If so, then just rely on y'all's memory of days taken in January and February.
Or was this deleting what your total vacation time should be per your years of service?

I've never had a job where my vacation benefits accrued at the beginning of the first of the year. They've always started accruing on employment and there is usually a point mid-year where the 'new' fiscal year starts. This job, it's July 1. Last job, it was June 1.
